"I 'm always looking for a local place to get some good Indian food. The atmosphere is very modern and casual with several booths lining the walls and a few tables and chairs in the center. The current ordering process is a little different. A waitstaff will come to the table and take your order on a digital pad. From what I experienced, they want you to be ready to order everything you want at once. They don 't want to take your drink/appetizers order and come back for your main meal. The food is very good. They have a good variety of dishes but I feel like the prices are a little on the expensive side. $15 per dish is a bit steep for me. We ordered two goat dishes and asked for hot , I found the spice level was perfect. The only problem I had was that the bones were left in the meat. I felt like the majority of my dish was bones. There were perhaps 3 cubes of meat without bones, and the rest were slivers of meat on mostly bone. This directly impacts the portions of food that you get and feels like it was a waste to order this dish. Otherwise, I really liked the food. The staff are very friendly. I think, if you want Indian food in Lafayette and don 't want to pay as much as you would at Masalas, it 's a good place to try."

"India Kitchen is an excellent Indian restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone. The food is absolutely delicious and the taste is spot on. I felt that the value of money spent was justified as I received 80% worth of what I paid for. In fact, I believe it is the best restaurant in the area for Indian food. I have already recommended it to most of my friends. Raj, who manages the restaurant, is a nice person and good to talk to. The only negative point I have is that they use too much food color in their dishes. In my opinion, taste should take priority over presentation and I hope they understand that soon. Overall, India Kitchen is a great choice for anyone looking for an authentic and tasty Indian meal."

"We were greeted so warmly as soon as we walked in the door. We sat down and were offered drinks. We snacked on some fried cauliflower and settled on butter chicken and chicken korma, and went with the servers advice to get chili garlic naan. We had a delicious dessert that was made of roasted, pureed carrots that was sweet and so flavorful! The only disappoinment was that my stomach didn't have room for more! Thank you for a delicious meal!"

"This restaurant is right off the street on the end of a little strip. There is dedicated parking in front for them and I think there was a lot on the side rear with additional parking, but I didn't confirm that. When you walk in, the main dining area is on the right with a few tables set up on the left as well. We chose to sit on the left side and it was really pleasant. The noise levels were pretty low. They had a lot of boxes piled up. It appeared like they might be struggling to stay organized given the current situation with Covid. Don't let the appearance fool you though. The staff were very welcoming and took excellent care of us. The food was fantastic! The seafood stew was full of delicious goodies and had a nice spice level. The chicken is always a favorite and was cooked to perfection. The french beans had that crunch you expect. The pricing and portion sizes were very fair. I really enjoyed this restaurant and highly recommend it."

"Everything on the menu is delicious, but I highly recommend the chocolate xiao long bao for dessert. It's indulgently rich and incredibly tasty. The ambiance is very pleasant, and despite being a bustling restaurant, the noise level is manageable, making it feel less crowded. I suggest making a reservation, as wait times can be lengthy. For those looking for vegetarian options, there are plenty available, with vegetarian dumplings clearly labeled. We dined with a vegan friend, and she had no trouble finding safe dishes to enjoy."

"When I order online, it seems like they don't pay much attention to the food. I consistently get my meals burned and without the vegetables that are supposed to season the chicken. They never include any spices in my orders, even when I specifically mention them in the descriptions. Additionally, the ceviche often comes without choclo."

"My boyfriend and I have been experiencing severe diarrhea since eating at this restaurant yesterday. When we arrived, the cook was sprawled out on a chair, fast asleep and snoring. I had to shout "HELLO" to wake him up; he seemed surprised to see me in the building. I should have realized that this would be a terrible dining experience. The floor was filthy and it had an unpleasant odor; I can only imagine what the kitchen must look like. Honestly, every time I pass gas, I’m worried about having an accident. The food had a sour taste, and I am extremely disappointed."

"My husband and I had a late lunch yesterday at this wonderful restaurant. The space is open and has a beautiful ambiance! We ordered marinated mushrooms, a vegan wine selection, soup, and vegan dumplings. We appreciated the ordering system where you simply check off the items you want, which we thought was a fun touch. The menu had a great variety of vegan options that were clearly labeled. Our server suggested we share our dishes, which we usually do anyway, so that was nice. Overall, our meal was delicious and reasonably priced. This is an updated review from December 6, 2022."

"Arguably the best deal in town. Priced at $15.99 for their lunch menu (Monday-Friday) you can choose from a wide array of curried dishes and veggies to your liking. Their Tandoori Chicken is by far the most tender chicken I've tried at any Indian restaurant. They have all the fan favorites like the Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, samosas and more. Oh and let's not forget the endless garlic naan. Your wallet and your stomach will thank you."

"Best lunch buffet!!! I love Indian food so my family brought me here for a birthday dinner. We ordered my usual favorites: chicken masala, Aloo-Kochfeld, saag slices, goatery and Samosas. It was my first time to try a dosa. Everything was delicious! We were back to the lunch buffet several times. Great options! Service is also wonderful! Note: The review is for Indian food. UPDATE: It's over 3 years and a whole pandemic since my last review. The lunch buffet has increased from $11-$12 to $17.95 now. The food is still fantastic and this is still my favorite place for both buffets and sit dinners. We just had lunch yesterday (Tuesday afternoon). There was a constant flow of Diners, but it was not crowded so that was nice. The food was delicious and the service was attentive without feeling transferred. The last time I was here was a prerogative, so I was very happy to see that they survived. I wished her success. Please give them an attempt, you will not regret it."

"Almost always need to come to Din Tai Fung when in LA. We went Saturday morning around 11am and only waited 10min. So definitely recommend coming early to beat the line. For appetizers we got sweet pork ribs, seaweed tofu salad, and the tofu noodles salad. Definitely liked the tofu noodle salad the best. The pork ribs seemed a tad too sweet for me. For the soup dumplings, we got the pork and truffle mix dumplings, and the crab and pork mix dumplings. I liked the pork/truffle mix dumplings a lot, and didn?t really like the crab/pork mix. I should just stick to the plain pork soup dumplings or the pork/truffles mix next time! We got vegan mushroom buns those were pretty yummy. Also ordered sautéed garlic spinach was a bit too oily. Nevertheless, will probably come back again and again since I do really like their soup dumplings. Just wish they would expand to other cities outside of California!"

"Had Lulu?s hawaiian bbq for lunch. Nice little small place. Service was fast food comes out in to go containers for easy pack and go. The food is made fresh chicken katsu is crispy rice is fluffy what more can you ask for. The hawaiian bbq beef super tasty well seasoned and not tough super good. The lumpia was good nice sized ones too. They also have almond cookies! 3 for $1 ! They also do catering for big trays of food. Lots of choices as well as far as food goes they have spam masubi, curry, and more. Definitely enjoyed the food here!"

"Pleasantly surprised with this place, as new Indian restaurants try, most of the time was a complete miss for me. This was a hit. The Samosas were super crispy and huge and the mint Chutney was perfect. Also the chicken had 65, which is naturally a spicy dish... it was a bit too salty, but we still managed to finish it Alll (it was still quite legit with the oversalting). The lamb masala was on point as well as was the Tandoori chicken (that is not super red cuz it seems as if they did not use food coloring that is another plus). The only dish I wasn't impressed was the chicken tikka masala... the sauce was too sweet.... next time I'll try the butter chicken. Overall, this is a great place and cheap.... Hope to come back and repeat my good experience. Also, you must say that the service was great and very accomodating on our requests at the meal."
