"I dined at this restaurant once and was not impressed with the food or service. However, I decided to order delivery recently. The service over the phone was good and the food arrived fresh. The chicken chunks were smaller than expected and mostly bone, lacking enough actual chicken meat. Additionally, the beans did not retain their original shape, which was disappointing. The taste was decent, but I prefer to eat whole beans rather than pieces. Despite these issues, I would be willing to try another dish from this restaurant, but only for delivery or pickup."

"Always a Great place to stop in and have a meal or order a delivery. Food is Always so fresh and really good plus the staff is friendly kind and courteous. I'm a huge fan of rice and beans and fried fish it's my favorite and they serve some of the bestaround very tasty and always reasonably priced. If your interested in fresh drinks they serve some really great ones there aswell."

"I've been coming here since I was a kid and still visit from time to time. I went for brunch today and I hate to give lower ratings but the service was sooo bad. There are new waiters and it took them over 20 minutes to make our drinks yet we were the only group there for some time. They rarely even checked on us. The brunch is an hour unlimited drinks and with the way they were moving, you'd be lucky to get two drinks for your hour. They were friendly though, just not attentive.I ordered the huevos rancheros and asked for my eggs to be well done. The waiter must of forgot to mention it and my eggs came runny. I do appreciate them remaking it but I hate to waste food smh. My food was delicious but I do believe they have a new chef as well. As for the drinks ... let's just say you'd need more than one drink to feel a buzz. Definitely missing the old Elora's. $25 brunch with 1 hour unlimited drinks is a steal though, I'd give them that."

"I've ordered from this restaurant on GrubHub several times in 2022, because I liked their j shrimp stir fry.Earlier this year I went in to the restaurant and ordered a j chicken lunch special. I was saddened that the chicken wasn't made fresh; there wasn't actually any chicken cooking when I went into the restaurant.Today I ordered 12 wings and j shrimp stir fry from GrubHub. I could not believe that they actually filled the order for wings with wing zings! That is not a chicken wing! That's not the size of a chicken wing, and every wing zing does not have the 3 pieces of an actual wing. So to charge me $15 for little wing zings is outlandish.Then, I'm pretty sure that the wing zings were re-cooked because some of them were charred burnt and they drowned them in sauce to attempt to conceal how burnt they were.With regard to the shrimp stir fry, I requested the Jamaican rice and peas as a side. They gave me white rice with some kind of pea, but there were less than 20 peas, whatever kind they were.I have never ordered rice and peas at a j chicken restaurant and been given white rice with a couple handfuls of peas (I mean you can literally count the number of peas in the platter). I'm used to receiving red beans (I know they aren't kidney beans) and rice when I order rice and peas from a j chicken restaurant.I'm not going to be able to order from them again. I understand that the price of everything has increased, but cheating and deceiving customers isn't the right way to save a buck. I would rather pay a higher price and receive a quality entree consisting of what I actually ordered, than to pay a lower price and be wondering what in the world they have filled my order with...."

"Mina's Restaurant in New Windsor, NY, is quite nice and clean. The service we received was friendly and reasonably attentive. The food was tasty, but it lacked that wow factor. The baked steak and the steak with onions were extremely thin and difficult to chew. Considering the restaurant's appearance and our dining experience, we expected a higher quality cut of meat, even if the price for the dish was a bit higher. Additionally, the Cuban black beans missed the mark in terms of authentic Cuban flavor—ingredients like cumin, olive oil, and onions were noticeably absent, and the dish was too watery. We would like to return and hope that these observations will be taken as constructive feedback."

"I placed a catering order from this place because the food is delicious. I really enjoy their arroz con gandules and. Some advic w bistec guis time of 5 pm. The day of my event arrived and I went to pick up my food and the cook looked at me and stayed your pickup time is for 5:30. I stated “I asked for a pick up time of 5 pm and my receipt has 5 pm” He looked at me and said “Well I have 5:30”. I said “ok, I’ll return”. I left and returned at 5.30. My food was still not done. And the cook just looked at me and said “ you returned quickly”. I looked at him and said “you stated to return at 5:30, it’s 5:30”. I had to return an hour later and still had to wait for my food. The SERVICE for catered food is HORRIBLE. I asked for my food to be ready an hour before my event and unfortunately had my guests waiting due to their irresponsibility. Price per person: $1–10 Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Recommended dishes: Arroz Con Habichuelas Con Carne Guisada Aguacate Y Chicharron"

"Ordered Jamaican jerk chicken with rice and beans. Price was reasonable. Portion was small compared to other places, but the price was low. Jerk sauce tasted like barbecue sauce with hot sauce in it-which wasn’t bad. Rice was okay, I think it had small bite size potatoes pieces in it. The cabbage was beige, and not flavorful. Overall, if labeled a spicy chicken meal-good. Not gonna mentioned customer service or atmosphere. From prior photos and reviews — looks like things have changed a lot. Probably won’t be back-I can make my own barbecue chicken dinner."

"Second horrible experience I've had at this location in a row. Sat at our table for an hour before being told what was going on and why we had been waiting so long. My daughter had work in the morning and we were hoping for a quick meal. Waitress said she was sorry and that she had burned her hand and dropped one of our entrees. She stated that they were remaking it and it would be out shortly. Also that they could comp the meal and the manager would be out shortly. The manager asked if we would like anything while we wait and gave us salad to hold us over. Finally after our not so good meal, we were told that they took off 10 bucks from our check. I asked what happened to us getting our meal comped and the manager said that it was not the waitresses place to tell us that and we were to pay for our meal. So all in all the 10 bucks off covered the salad and our sodas..."
