"I moved on to the appetizers and ordered shrimp, calamari, and Buffalo wings. Unfortunately, the calamari was overcooked and inedible, although the shrimp was passable. The wings were also a letdown; they were excessively breaded and smothered in too much sauce.
Determined to give this place a fair shot, I decided to order a main course and another drink. Before I placed my order, the bartender—who was also serving tables alongside a rather young waiter—handed me a list of items they were out of, which included lamb chops and skirt steak, among other things. I opted for the ribeye, asking for it to be cooked medium, along with some vegetables and mashed potatoes.
After a wait of about 45 minutes, my steak arrived, but it was cooked well beyond medium, almost completely overdone, with about 85% fat content. Honestly, it was the worst steak I've ever had. I also tried a frozen Casamigos margarita, but that was disappointing as well.
In summary, I had high hopes for this restaurant but left feeling incredibly disappointed. As a strong supporter of Black-owned restaurants and lounges in Brooklyn, it's unfortunate that I won't be able to endorse this one. I definitely won't be coming back."
