"This restaurant is vastly overpriced, and the food is quite mediocre overall. The gumbo was enjoyable, which was really the only dish I found appealing. I noticed that the vinyl was peeling off every chair I saw, which gave a shabby impression. They seem to be aiming for fine dining but are falling short. The server was somewhat reserved, which didn't enhance my experience. I can be surly and grumpy at home, but when I go out to eat, I expect good food and excellent service. We paid nearly the same for entrees at a restaurant with a view of Jackson Square in New Orleans. This place could really benefit from Gordon Ramsay's expertise. It seems like there aren't many restaurant options in the area, but if this is the best available, it might be worth the drive to Baton Rouge instead."
