"We got House special Hunan delight and it was so hot and spicy we could not eat it. I called Golden Chopsticks to tell them it was not edible. She said I ordered it extra spicy ?️ I explained I did not and spent $35 to have Door Dash deliver and could not eat it. She insisted all her customers like it extra spicy and in the future to tell them REGULAR for less spicy. Wouldn’t you think that if you ordered it it would just be regular? Why would me ordering it mean I want extra spicy? I promise you my husband eats hot and spicy food and he could not even eat it. I do not recommend. We have ordered Hunan pork and Hunan chicken and Hunan shrimp at many other restaurants and never have we had this occur."

"I have been coming here since Kirin opened. I have had the sushi, miso soup, the drinks, fried rice, entrees, and appetizers. All of it has been delicious and plentiful. The staff is nice and the restaurant is clean. It can get busy, but they offer to go/take out for those days when you want to enjoy your food at home. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is nice, and it’s in a good location. I’ve worked my way through the menu. My favorite items from there include egg drop soup, hot and sour soup, crispy sriracha chicken, and the under the sea sushi roll. Happy eating!"

"Sushiya in Del Mar Highlands is a great spot to enjoy some Japanese cuisine. It's conveniently located near my home, so I frequent it for dinner occasionally. The prices are fair, and they offer half off deals on certain rolls and hand rolls. The food is decent, although some of the rolls were a bit messy and not perfectly crafted... but they were still tasty. While Sushiya isn't very large, it does have a sushi bar and a few outdoor tables. It can get busy, so seating may be limited. The decor is simple, nothing extravagant. The staff and service were pleasant, and the food was served promptly. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you're in the mood for Japanese cuisine!"

"This restaurant is truly outstanding! Amanda is an absolute gem and exemplifies what hospitality should be. I was disappointed when she wasn't working during my second visit, but the food and service were just as impressive, and I quickly got over it. The Yellowtail Carpaccio is something you dream about when you're craving that perfect umami flavor and tender tuna texture. As a native Phoenician who has relocated to Chicago, I've admittedly become a bit of a food snob, but this place consistently exceeds expectations. The quality and value are exceptional. Kabuki has become my go-to spot for satisfying and delicious sushi!"

"I have eaten here many times over the years. It has always been decent good quality food. Not any more. This last time will absolutely be our last. The spicy tuna in my handroll and 2 of the sushi rolls we ordered was so extremely salty that it made itentirely inedible. I had used the soy packets they included and first thought those were the culprit so I threw that sauce outand used a low sodium one we have in the fridge. Same problem. Just taking a bite of the spicy tuna alone was proof that it wasthe culprit. It was not the spice that was the issue, the tuna was not really very spicy. It was just plain extreme saltinessthat made your entire mouth salty for an hour afterwards. It's like it was caustic. It was completely inedible. The sashimi andthe other roll which did not contain the spicy tuna were fine. I have eaten california rolls from 7 11 before. I have hadeverything from grocery store sushi to fancy restaurants costing hundreds of dollars. I have never before had any sushi thattasted so bad I refused to eat it. This was hands down the worst sushi I have ever tasted. We ordered through DoorDash, but Icalled them up to see if they wanted to make it right before just getting a refund of the order through DoorDash. Nope. They didnot care one bit. They even hung up on me. If that's how they treat you after having the nerve to try and serve food like this,they will never get another dime from me."

"I really enjoyed the Korean sashimi bowl, especially with the traditional spicy chojang sauce. The portion was quite generous. The bulgogi bento was good, but if you’re expecting classic Korean bulgogi, this isn’t it; it tastes more like beef with broccoli. It’s tasty, just not the traditional style. The egg rolls were excellent, and the shrimp tempura, mandu, and California roll were all delicious too. The service was very friendly and courteous."

"We came to this place with a large party since we were in the area. Reviews weren't the best but we decided to give it a try anyways. We can now see why the reviews for this place are not so good, and can confirm the bad ones are very true. When we saw this place on Yelp, we liked what we saw on the menu. There was a good variety of ramen and sushi so we were looking forwarding to giving it a try. We called ahead for our large party and we're told they could accommodate us if we came. We decided to try it out. When we arrived with our party, we were told by the owner that they only had chicken ramen and a little bit of sushi from the menu. First off, what kind of restaurant would only have a few things on the menu available? And wouldn't you tell that to people who called before they drove to the restaurant so they would know what to expect?We discussed amongst the group for a few minutes and then decided we no longer wanted to eat there since we didn't want chicken ramen and whatever they had left over for sushi. While we were discussing, one of the kids in our group used the restroom thinking that we were going to eat there. Apparently, the owner yelled at the child and demanded that she pay $5 for using the restroom. First off, there were no signs posted saying the restroom was for customers only. Secondly, we were going to eat there until she told us they didn't have any food so why would you deny a child bathroom access and then yell at the child and demand $5 for using the restroom. Lastly, when my wife went in there to see why she was demanding $5 from the child, she told the owner to stop yelling at and addressing the child because she was a minor. The owner continued yelled at my wife saying the bathroom was for customers only (even though there was no sign), and demanded $5, and then proceeded to yell at my wife and tell her it was her fault the child was so rude and would use the bathroom even though she wasn't a customer. At this point, we just were in shock. How can a person like this run an establishment to service customers? My advice is to stay away from this place. The owner is rude and unstable and they don't normally have what's in their menu."

"What a pleasant surprise in the middle of Northwestern Arkansas. I honestly wasn 't expecting to be impressed by their sushi. Kobe Sushi 's Vegas Roll and Philadelphia Rolls were good, but their signature Kobe Roll was outstanding; It had just the right balance of sauce, flavor, and protein. Their gyoza was decent as well! The special rolls menu is slightly overpriced, but the house rolls bring everything back to reality. Every staff member was kind and gentle. The atmosphere isn 't anything out of this world, but it 's ample for a casual date, small get-togethers or solo adventures. If I lived in Bentonville, Kobe Sushi would qualify as one of my regular eateries."

"I truly value the freshness and beautiful presentation of the fruits and vegetables at Aj's Fine Foods. My checkout experiences have been wonderful, especially with the friendly and efficient lady who works early mornings. However, the butchers and seafood counter have been disappointing. Aj’s tends to be more expensive than other stores, though the quality is usually better. Still, when I see filet priced at $35 per pound and Petrale sole at $20, I expect better service, more information, and options instead of rushed interactions with staff. This isn’t a one-time issue—I’ve encountered similar problems repeatedly in the meat and fish sections. The flower and gift department is also quite pricey. While I love the produce and some of the checkout staff, I feel disrespected when dealing with the meat and seafood teams. When I ask about fish freshness or meat cuts, the treatment is often poor. I’m not asking for lengthy explanations, just basic respect. It’s truly disappointing."

"I had a pleasant experience with the lady at the register while ordering my food; she was very friendly and even added some seaweed and green onions to my udon at no extra charge. Unfortunately, the sushi did not meet my expectations. The uni was unappetizing, tasting and looking as if it had been left out for days; I nearly gagged from the overpowering and unpleasant sea flavor. The shrimp, octopus, and squid were all rubbery, indicative of having been prepared earlier and not stored properly. Additionally, the tuna and salmon appeared a bit greyer than I would expect. Given the price of around sixteen dollars for the sushi platter, I think there are too many other options out there for "bargain sushi" that would make me hesitate to return. It seems like some customers have had better experiences with the freshness of the fish, but overall, this place feels inconsistent."
