"Matt is a great server. It is freezing when seated near the front door this time of the year. Can’t you improve that situation? My fried chicken was “ok”, but I wasn’t expecting the cayenne pepper in the batter. Not a fan of that. My wife’s hamburger was “very rare,” approaching raw, except for the searing on the outside. Rob makes the best martinis in Salem."

"I've been ordering from Ye's for 25+ yrs. It used to be amazing then the owner sold the business and it all wend down hill. We keep giving them a try and it keeps getting worse. We ordered egg rools that have gotten really small and this new wrapper is so bad. The potstickers are all dough and no meat in them. "I have been coming here for years and was sad to hear that the restaurant was being sold to another family. Of course I had to come in and give it a try and compare the original Chinese Kitchen to the new Chinese Kitchen. Let me just say that the food was excellent. I ordered chow mein, fried rice, orange chicken and even got to try some of the salt and pepper fish. I did not regret ordering it. The food was fresh, had a lot of flavor, was very reasonable in pricing and was authentic. Best of all is that they give you good sized portions. Hands down one of the best Chinese restaurants around. The new owners Kit and Kan were super friendly and very hospitable. Also their staff is great. I got to meet Jeni one of the waitresses there, and she is super friendly and very attentive. I will definitely miss the old Chinese Kitchen, but the new Chinese Kitchen is definitely something unforgettable and I will surely return. I definitely recommend anybody and everybody to give it a try!"

"Overall, the food was average. The burgers were large, however, you pay a premium for French fries. I would rather they just inflate the price and make French fries standard. The included item is potato chips. My mom and daughter had the burgers and said they were pretty good. I had the stuffed shrimp, which didn't have a lot of flavor. I could tell I was eating shrimp and crab, but there wasn't much flavor. The portion was four stuffed shrimp. However, the shrimp were of the medium variety that I would buy at my local market. They were ripped with a tablespoon size crab ball. I had to pay a premium for cheese on my potato. This dish was $29, which I was prepared to pay, but was disappointed when it came out. Or meal was $95 (including a 15% tip). I'd also like to add we all had water to drink. I think the bill was a tad too much when two people in my party had a burger. The best part was dining outside right at the water. I drove from central Virginia to dine there, and am not sure if do it again. Just so so."

"The food was excellent, but we experienced very poor service during our visit on the fourth weekend. It seems that more staff is needed, as we had to get our own coffee cups and silverware because the overwhelmed waitress couldn't keep up. We chose the buffet instead of ordering, as it would have taken a long time to receive our food. I recommend hiring more cooks, waitstaff, dishwashers, and table cleaners. This isn't the first time I've encountered these issues during a fourth weekend visit. If I were a tourist, I wouldn't want to return. Please consider the importance of retaining returning customers."

"This restaurant has changed, and I'm not sure if they've switched cooks, but the food is really disappointing. The beef doesn't taste right, and the chicken doesn't even resemble chicken. I won't be coming back again. I'm also glad they got rid of the girl with the hat—her attitude made it hard to hold my tongue, and I felt like I could have been just as confrontational with that 'you wanna fight?' vibe! Honestly, I felt like saying, "Yes, I do!""

"I visited this restaurant for the first time to try their pho. Located in a strip mall, the place is clean and bright. I was promptly seated and received courteous service. I ordered the shrimp pho along with a couple of vegetable egg rolls. The food arrived quickly, and the large bowl was packed with shrimp, noodles, and various vegetables. They even gave me an additional small plate of Asian noodles and vegetables. The soup was hot and incredibly delicious. It made for a very filling and satisfying meal. I will definitely be back to try other options on the menu."

"I tried this place after a friend of mine told me they did the seafood bags similar to the local juicy crabs and boiling crawfish. I checked it out and saw they had hibachi and sushi. I decided to give the hibachi a try. *DISAPPOINTED* i got the shrimp and chicken hibachi and shrimp fried rice . All of it was flavorless and bland. It all tasted the same, like the grill and whatever oil they cooked the food in. It had some teriyaki sauce on it, that was just brown wet stuff. GROSS! The fried rice was just the other wet brown shrimp on top of the rice. There was nothing else in the rice. All that for $43, and we threw more than half of it away. Save your money and time. No wonder they never have any business other than for the one person ordering the sushi and seafood bags."

"Please take this review into consideration. It was my first time with my wife trying Sizzling Bombay and we found a hair in the chips and dip they give you when you first arrive. We did confront them and when they took the hair into the back we could hear everyone in the back laughing (no music was playing they never came back to the table to say anything. HUGE OSHA VIOLATION!! They didn’t give a fresh dip for the rest of the chips we had. No effort was made. I will never be going back. Nor is my in-laws anymore because they would always go. We ended up going to India Garden which I feel is more authentic! and food was amazing there. Go there before going to these people who do not care. (Also provided picture.
