"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant wasn't crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case."

"I paid $72 for a ribeye that was just mediocre. The only redeeming quality was that it was cooked exactly as I requested, which is the bare minimum expected at any steakhouse. I've had steaks of similar or better quality at Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn for about half the price, and those meals included two sides and bread. We even had to return one steak because nearly half of the 16-ounce cut was pure fat—only about 8 ounces was actual meat. I've never sent food back at a restaurant before, but when you're spending that much on a single piece of meat, you expect to be satisfied. To make matters worse, we felt dismissed when expressing our concerns about the quality of the steak as if we were inexperienced diners. They did offer us a complimentary sirloin in an attempt to make amends, which I appreciate. However, if we hadn't had a gift card, I wouldn't have considered dining here at all due to the high prices. I'm still puzzled about what exactly justified the cost. It feels like Open Range relies on unsuspecting tourists, while most locals would likely choose to spend their money elsewhere."

"For a long time Bistro has been the tried and true upscale restaurant to go to, as other upscale restaurants around Main have come and go. It was never my fave food wise, but after trying to host my wedding rehearsal dinner there, I realized that I can 't trust what food I 'd actually be getting. As we were trying to figure out whether to host the rehearsal there or not, we tried out all their food we were able to. Despite being told what our dietary restrictions were, the manager offered to add a meat appetizer several times to our menu. She seemed like she knew the words vegetarian and vegan, but not what they meant. Finally we decided on a testing menu with fries on it. Later on I found out the fries are fried in duck fat (this was about a year ago, early on in my vegan journey when I would just ask if it 's vegetarian/vegan, not specifically what things are fried in). Thankfully we ended up not doing our rehearsal at bistro but I 'd also never go back aside from the food issues, the manager was incredibly rude to my mother while being friendly to my now husband 's parents (guess which set of parents are the foreigners). They do have a vegan pate but alongside it they have regular pate. Updated from previous review on 2019 09 05"

"What a treat. The shrimp ceviche was good. It had big chunks of tomatoes and tasted fresh. The chips were dusted with some deliciousness. The glazed pork belly was some of the best I’ve ever had. The edges were super crispy while the inside was liquid. It was the exact texture that you’re looking for in pork belly. The brussels sprouts were also a winner. I really like the fact that they were not overly sweet but we’re well seasoned. The Asian pear and brie pizza was a little bit unfortunate. I asked them to sub mozzarella for brie, and there was very little cheese on the pizza. The crust was thin and more like a tortilla, which would’ve been fine if the whole thing wasn’t so wet and soggy. Also, it’s the tiniest pizza you’ve ever seen for $14. We order to beverages as well, and our total came to $67. Don’t be surprised when you see a 4% service fee on your ticket. You can ask to have it removed, but I didn’t because it clearly states that it pays for health insurance for the employees. I asked the girl who brought our ticket, if they did, indeed provide her health insurance, to which she stated no. That sounded kind of dodgy, so I probably would not pay that extra 4% in the future. As for recommending this restaurant, the answer is yes. I would definitely go back for the short ribs, but pass on the pizza."

"We enjoyed the guacamole and salsa. The medium guacamole and it was fairly spicy. Each person ordered a different kind of enchiladas and tacos and then we traded around so that everyone could try several kinds. We were severed quickly which would be good for people who have an evening engagement. Our only complaint was that it was quick noisy which made it difficult to hear each other at our table."

"best sandwich ever: smoked mushrooms with bbq sauce, homemade pickles and vegan shiny on a pulpit back. I love it so much that I could eat it every day. the main description has listed some outdated menu options: from my last visit yesterday they did not bbq jackfruit tacos or a separate vegan menu, but vegan options are marked on the regular menu and they have vegan aubergine sandwich, vegan mushroom risotto, quinoa black bohnenburger with bbq sauce and buffaloflower bisse with vegan ran. I tried everything except the Eiberg sandwich and everyone is good. also the service here is fantastic: very attentive and knowledgeable about the vegan options. updated by previous review on 2022-05-03"

The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"The food was extraordinary and everyone in my party agreed. The food selection has something for everyone and was professionally presented. Additionally, the wait-staff was excellent in that they were timely, personable, and had a sense of urgency about them The place, however, is noisy and I imagine that those who wear hearing aids would be challenged. I suspect that some strategically located acoustical panels and surfaces could mitigate the issue. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise. We live a couple hours away but this place is worth the trip and we will be back."

"We had a great lunch at Wa Jeal. Starting with spring onion pancakes (delicious) and ending with chicken and broccoli (again delicious), the lunch menu (rice, main course and soup) was very cheap and delicious. The environment is wonderful - brick walls and pretty decorations and the service excellent. Highly recommended!!"

"Reliable tasty, service was plentiful but inconspicuous for basic details, i.e. coffee without offer or bring cream or sugar, brings toast without butter (toast is cold fast, so butter is best brought with automatic and ask to delete our plates again while a member of our party still eats. It is good to see that the restaurant has enough staff in numbers, but at least four different staff visits us (two servers and two bus drivers? but that meant that we repeated the same questions from different people, successively, and several repeated mistakes were made with simple beverage orders, and it felt reluctant: the dessert menu because we were asked several times, again before one in our party had finished his main course. There was no obvious rush for the table, but I think the staff was simply not sure what to do because it wasn't busy enough for them? Nothing that could not fix some training and better communication between employees. I love eating at GLK and appreciate the outdoor dining option. Great addition to the Dimond. It's nice that they're overstaffed, instead of being understaffed and happy they're still open and survive the pandemic so far!"

"Just got chased out of August mid-meal, on a first date with a reservation; another table was waiting for their dessert and suffered the same fate. The entire waitstaff left the floor, no manager on duty, and held the front door wide open in 14º weather for over 15 minutes because we have to bring the chairs in and go home Kitchen was repeatedly ringing the bell to let the waitstaff know dessert was ready to be served to our neighboirs, but to no avail. The customers at August apparently cease to be a priority (or any concern at all) at the strike of 9:30 like so many carraiges-turned-pumpkins. To say we were shocked is to grossly understate the cruelty of the weather and the negligence of the service we received tonight. Eventually, after donning our winter gear to try to continue eating, both of our tables found it necessary to loudly request that the front door be shut, as our shivering was not as apparent to the staff as it was to us. The waiters again refused to close the door to the elements, and let us know, in so many words, that the temperature of their diners was of little concern compared to the apparent need to bring the enitre outdoor dining setup (and in turn, the outddors itself) into the restaurant so that the staff might leave. I won't be returning but for the chance to give management (if they exist) a piece of my mind."

The server was OK the blind hostess at the front needs a big attitude adjustment like a really big attitude adjustment. We got nasty glares walking out and an attitude walking in. Would I return? absolutely not in fact the table next to us sat down and got their waters looked at the menu and they're like we're leaving and walked out well because there's hardly any food to be had on the menu Don't forget the 3% fee for card usage! And when we walked in today, there were clipboards and loose credit cards, sitting by the door and debit cards, and there were seven of them in today's day and age. It's not very smart. I would highly recommend thinking twice about going here."

"I love Coast Main! We celebrated two birthdays with friends last night, and everything was delicious. We ordered two Peat Cakes entrées, two Shrimp Scampi entrées, one free-range chicken entrée, and one Tomahawk pork chop with bacon cherry sauce. For sides, we had a wedge salad, a beet salad, a baby mesclun salad, and a garden salad—everything was fantastic! My sister tried the Crab Bisque and said it was extraordinary. For dessert, we enjoyed a peanut butter chocolate cake, banana cake, crème brûlée, vanilla ice cream, chocolate brownie cake, and cheesecake."

"There were 5 of us there on Fri. 1/3 and the food was not as good as the last time we were there in 2024. The brussels spouts and cheesy garlic bread were still good, but our entrees of lobster ravioli (minimal lobster) and chicken parm were just okay, and our guests ordered pizza which finally came after we had eaten almost half of our meal and they indicted the pizza was mediocre. I ordered a Manhattan that was served straight up and charged as a Old Fashioned. Then the bill comes and the suggested tip is after tax and there is also a 3% surcharge as a way to offset rising costs . In the low light and with the waiter standing there while we make our tip decision, we did not notice the note at the bottom of the receipt, you may request to have this taken off your check should you choose. If your costs are rising, include that in the cost of the entree, where the consumer can decide before ordering if they think its a fair price. Don 't tack on a charge that the consumer doesn 't know they paid until they get home. All in all, we didn 't think the meal or the service was worth the price."

"It won’t take much money to get the lounge looking better. It’s like sitting in a stark hospital cafeteria with florescent lights so bright. Turn the lights down, put a candle on a table. When I asked them to turn it down, they refused. Manager said they are going to change it but why can’t they spend a couple thousand now to change the lights and make it more comfortable. They need to stick to small plates. Main course was awful. Nobody was there during holiday season, no wonder."
