"I was extremely disappointed. I hadn't eaten here since they rebuilt after the fire, and I was hoping for a better experience. Unfortunately, I was disappointed again. I ordered some fried wings and fried rice, but my rice had a strange smell and was soggy. The chicken wings were burnt and greasy. The only decent dish was the California roll. The soup was too salty and the chips were stale. I was disappointed because this place used to be good. I had to take my kids somewhere else to eat. I usually give a second chance, but two strikes is enough for me. The restaurant needs to improve their quality."

"I visited this restaurant for lunch on a Saturday. The service was rated a 3 - they were attentive to some customers but seemed too busy for others. It seemed like getting good service depended on having a good relationship with the staff and a bit of luck. The food was given a rating of 4.5 - the sushi was decent and the decoration was nice, but there is room for improvement (some of the rolls fell apart when picked up with chopsticks). The location was rated a 5 as it is within walking distance from public transportation and has a parking lot. The environment was rated a 3.5 - it felt a bit tight, especially when the restaurant was crowded. The value was rated a 3.5 as it was a bit pricey overall. Taking all factors into consideration, the overall rating would be a 3.9."

"Kumho, I am so sorry I have to do this. I’ve been going here for 5 years and as of the last 2-3 months my family has gotten food poisoning twice after eating here. Last time I thought it may have been somewhere or something. But the facts are that just last night and this morning my wife is sick to her stomach after eating here….same for me two months ago after eating here. Something has definitely changed at this restaurant and they are just not on top of food safety standards or quality like they once were. Considering we tip phenomenal to the chef and the staff …..something has to be done. Whether you have 8 people at a table or 2 the food needs to be safe without exception. I simply cannot bring my family here anymore and would appreciate a refund."

"I wish I could bring my Taiwanese mom here! Helena was a wonderful hostess, and she and I were the only ones there. She mixed up a tasty black tea with lychee flavour. I admit that I expected a different type of bubble tea than what I received, but it was delicious regardless. (Assi in North Wales, PA is what I 'm used to, for anyone who knows it! I 'm newer to the beverage, really. I seriously can 't wait to go back to Lavender Cafe to try more of their massive and very diverse menu. I never find places offering rice cake, so I 'm hooked! They offer hot pot and vegetarian friendly dishes too, so there 's zero excuse to not come here to enjoy the food. Absolutely worth it! Oh, and BE POLITE, don 't expect the few available staff to be able to do dine in whilst the phone is ringing on a busy weekend dinner rush, AND LEAVE A GOOD TIP!!! "The food at this restaurant should be made with top-quality ingredients for the price, but their wagyu steak was lacking in marbling and seemed to be fake American or Australian wagyu. The claim that it was a8-a9 grade was clearly false, which was disappointing. The sushi rolls were made with high-quality fish, but tasted as if they were prepared by a mediocre chef with an unlimited budget. It seems like this place caters to expensive food for those who aren't knowledgeable about Japanese or Peruvian cuisine. Additionally, there was a 20% gratuity added to the bill without being informed beforehand, which was frustrating. Overall, the experience was mediocre for the high price of $650. I could have had a better meal at a lower-priced sushi spot. The ambiance was the only positive aspect of the dining experience."

"I’ve been coming here for over 8 years. But honestly the service has gotten worse and the workers/owners have gotten so rude. Last night I ordered takeout and when I went in to pick it up there was a 3rd party food delivery person waiting that one of the women yelled at for answering their phone on speaker. She then shoved the hot chile oil in my hand that I asked for when paying (which is not the first time they have been rude after I’ve asked for some soy sauce or sweet and sour sauce). The food isn’t bad but I can find another restaurant similar or better that I will give my money to. Honestly don’t waste your money here."

"I recently passed by this restaurant and noticed that it is closed. Given the decline in the quality of their food, I was not surprised. According to their Facebook page, Orchid Restaurant, located at 3025 US-130 in Delran, will be permanently closing on January 1, 2023. They have been serving high-quality Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food for over 13 years and are grateful for the support they have received. Unfortunately, the commercial real estate contract is ending in December and will not be renewed. The business will not have the same management or name going forward. "Google won 't let me give ZERO star rating for this filthy place. This is the worst and the most unhygienic places I have been into jersey city.We were served breads in a very old UNCLEANED basket which was clearly not washed in months. When I complained about this to the staff (two persons, one at a time), the literally laughed and took the container and went away. The other acted like he was on the phone and just went away. This was very very unacceptable, rude behavior and wrost customer service.This is the so called responsive staff members they have. I will not be visiting this place ever in my life. "Excellent ! We loved the food and the drinks! Innovative and interesting menu and the dishes are as tasty as they sound. Four of us shared a sampler appetizer plate, Mantoo, A vegetarian plate, and Beef Kofta kabob with saffron rice. The portions were ample, but not huge, and had distinctive, well balanced flavors.
