"I recently had lunch at this restaurant and ordered the peppered steak. I chose to pay extra for shrimp fried rice instead of the roasted rice with pork. The shrimp fried rice was moist and flavorful. I requested that the chefs reduce the sodium content, and they adjusted it perfectly. The beef, along with the paprika and spice level, was delicious. My only complaint was that there were too many green peppers in comparison to the amount of beef. Otherwise, the food was excellent, and I will definitely be coming back. Also, the egg roll was fantastic!"

"A sad aspect of today’s experience was that I ordered through DoorDash, but the last time I went to pick up my order, it sat on the shelf for 20 minutes while they attended to other customers in the dining area. I ordered Shrimp Foo Young, which usually has a rich, flavorful gravy that you could almost enjoy like soup. Today, it was bland. The Egg Foo Young patties were charred as well. Another time, I tried the orange chicken, and I was baffled by the soggy breading on the chicken, which was accompanied by a minimal amount of sauce. The staff is welcoming, but it feels like something has changed—possibly a shift in the cooking staff or a shortage of help. In the end, I ended up throwing the food away, still feeling hungry and out $25+. I think it's time for us to part ways. I've given it my best shot, but I can't continue like this. I've even jokingly renamed it "Empire Die-Nasty.""

"For the first time Glen Ellyn visited restaurant. Food was a lot and very nice. Mine was perfectly cooked. Service was fast, accurate and server was polite and polite, did a good job. Always by to see if we needed something, easy to catch : Can recommend this place and it will probably be our place for Chinese food... "This place is our go to neighborhood Chinese takeout spot. The best thing on their menu is probably their egg roll it tastes almost peanut y and is unlike any eggroll I 've ever tried anywhere else. The food is always piping hot when we get it to our table (except one time with the cream cheese wontons . This is where you go if you 're wanting more 'authentic ' Chinese dishes you can find cropping up around the Metro area (thinking places like Grand Szechuan in Bloomington or Magic Noodle out in St Paul . It 's straight up American takeout saucy, usually on the sweeter side of things. But it 's good American takeout... we usually do get the spicy szechuan [beef, chicken, pork] and I like like their curry dish and lo mein. They happily accommodate if you ask for red/chili oil and or extra sichuan peppercorns. Like everyone says, no cards cash only. (There is a gas station with an ATM across the road in a pinch. . The one thing I wish is that there were more photos on their site of their dishes... :"

"Issa no for me. I only looked past the reviews because there was a Chinese guy who did a 5 star review. But uhm never again. The prices for the amount of food is good. However the food itself it not good. The HK egg roll taste off, sesame chicken had an over powering flavor of soy or something. Noodles were too mushy. The only thing worth getting is the sugar donuts. Service was fine."

"Coffee with Pips visited Emperor's Kitchen on April 16th, 2024. The restaurant is situated on the second floor of a decent retail space, with large windows overlooking a busy parking lot surrounded by upscale businesses like Kopp's Frozen Custard. We were promptly seated at a clean table with plenty of space to dine comfortably. The decor was simple yet not overwhelming. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, giving us time to look over the menu which had a good selection of dishes. I ordered the Sesame Chicken, a popular Chinese dish in the US and Canada, and my companion enjoyed the Beef Chop Suey. The Sesame Chicken was delicious, with tender chicken in a sweet sauce and sesame seeds. The portions were generous, enough for two meals. However, the Diet Coke we ordered tasted like seltzer and was disappointing at $4.50 per glass. We mentioned this to the staff but didn't receive much of a response, which led to the restaurant receiving a 4.5 star rating instead of 5. Despite this, the meals were worth it and we would return to Emperor's Kitchen, recommending it for its food but suggesting sticking to water instead of ordering sodas. "Not anywhere to go out of your way for but good neighborhood Chinese that I'd get at least once a month until recently. I'm pretty picky about my crab rangoon and theirs hits the mark. 3 stars because the last THREE times I've tried ordering they don't answer the phone. Only once has it been at a usually busy time. It's disheartening when I want the goons!On top of that, their online ordering is turned off on all platforms besides Ritual unless it's like noon. Ritual is also disabled this evening and even if it wasn't I can't order because it will show one price then double once an item is in the cart. That was not the case previously."

"The ultimate destination for Chinese cuisine! I've never tasted such authentic and fresh Chinese food anywhere else! It's like a hidden gem in this quaint little town.
