"Definitely stop here! These Fine people have been in this location. For many many years. The man up front said he had been there for 30 some years. My waitress. Miss May. Was very very nice and accommodating. Was very pleasant professional helpful and well spoken. With a very heavy Mandarin accent of course. Which only adds to the authenticity of the restaurant for me. She has been here for 17 years. I asked for some suggestions on what to have from some other patrons. That had been coming here for several years themselves. They told me. What I absolutely! Love to hear someone say. Everything! Is good here. They both said. So I went for the traditional. Yes! You guessed it. General Tso's. Pork fried rice hot and spicy soup with an egg roll. Dr Pepper to drink. Miss may. My waitress. Brought me some Wasabi sauce that she makes special. Along with some other pineapple tasting sauce that is made in house also. Delicious! Will definitely. Definitely! Be returning soon. Really love the decor. The tables are very elegant and classy.. the pictures do not do this place Justice. Bathrooms were very nice and clean. But the people definitely were amazing. You will not regret stopping here for sure. I will say a prayer for each and everyone of you. I hope your travel is safe. God bless you and yours. "I was hesitant to pull in here as there were hardly any cars parked at dinner time, but the wife wanted Chinese food. We were indeed the only patrons. No need to worry, the portions were large, the prices reasonable and the food delicious. The Twice cooked pork was spicy but not super hot, the BBQ pork seemed home-made and was moist and delicious, the foo-young was perfect, and there was enough white rice provided to feed a small army. The pretty waitress didn't hurt."

"EXTREME TOXIN WARNING!!!! This Facility uses Highly Toxic Styrofoam because they are cheap AND they do not care if they are poisoning Americans FOR OVER 20 YEARS THAT I KNOW OF. It took me a while to figure out why my whole body was tingling and feverish after eating the Sesame Chicken Lunch Special. I noticed that the very hot dish would acutely melt the Styrofoam bottom and cause it to leak out of the bottom AND MIXING INTO THE FOOD. Please let us ban together and never accept any food from this restaurant served in TOXIC STYROFOAM! I just called them to confirm that they are still using it, and his reply/excuse was that other restaurants use it to. This is a disgrace to our healthy living style in America and needs to stop now in all restaurants! Plastics are still toxic, but not as bad as Styrofoam. I have not found any Styrofoam, plastics or paper food containers that have ZERO levels of toxins, check online yourself, it will SCARE YOU to know what you have been eating like it did me, so I do not use them in or out of the home. After you stop eating from such product's, you will start to feel much better as the toxin levels go down in the body, this is my experience. After a few months, I felt like a new man, I can think much clearer now, and antioxidant foods and drinks helped make it ever better and fell improvements faster. I am a disabled Army Veteran and I care about Americas health and safety. Let's force all restaurants across the country to use safe toxin free packaging! "I do not know how this restaurant received 3.8 stars. To give this restaurant a fair shot I ordered multiple items off the menu in the span of 3 weeks to make sure it wasn’t just a bad day in the kitchen. Ordered: Pot stickers, beef short ribs, orange chicken, chicken lo mein, and sweet sour pork. The pot stickers were slightly below average as they were not packed with much filling. The orange chicken should’ve been called the orange batter because the chicken was shaved and hammered so thin that I had to verify if it even existed at its core. The chicken was noticeable in some bites because it was jerky-like, screaming to me that it was either old or fried, frozen and refried. The orange sauce was overly sweet with barely any orange or vinegar in the mixture making you feel like everything was covered in pancake syrup instead of orange sauce. The attached picture is of the sweet and sour pork which was the most disappointing of all meals. The sweet and sour sauce was not sweet or sour because it tasted like they cut half the mixture with water. The breading on the pork tasted like it was fried in old oil that was used to fry fish. The pork and batter were so bland that it was hard to eat since the sauce was equally devoid of flavor. The rice….I have never seen rice look so dark yet incredibly flavorless. It really makes me wonder what they used to stain the rice since it seems like soy sauce wasn’t used. Beef short ribs, dry, tough, but decent marinade and flavor than the other items listed before this. The chicken lo mein was the best thing I ate; I could taste the flavor of the dish. My only complaint was that it was SWIMMING in sauce which I drained before eating. This restaurant had extremely fast delivery which typically means that a lot of food is precooked. The lack of seasoning in their food is staggering for a Chinese restaurant and I have never had Chinese that tasted so bland."

"Ordered for a couple of years and food was fine untill last week. Made a $45 order and food was horrible not even edible. Pepper steak with only onions and no steak, the meat was pink and rubbery like old pork besides the container only half full. Tofu dried out and could not be chewed. Moo goo guy pan was actually stale tasting and gummy like it was made days earlier. I called and was told I would be taken care of next order. Called a few days ago to re order was told to call another day. Called today was told my new order would receive a 10% discount. I complained and she got off the phone and came back on and said we only give 10% off for that issue. I told her take my name out of their system I will never order from them again. Buyer beware. $45 worth of food went in the garbage. I am not picky at all but this food was really bad."

"My Go-To Place for Vegetarian Chinese Food. I 'm originally from the Midwest and our 'Chinese ' food is very different from that of Western New York. Buffalo has some great food, but cheap American-Chinese food is not one of it 's proudest cuisines. That being said, this place tastes like home! The food here is better than at any other fast Chinese restaurant in the Buffalo area, and the vegetarian options are outstanding! The fried satay they use as chicken is crispy, hot, and when smothered in sesame sauce--it 's just incredible. My food is always ready, the staff is very nice, and they keep the place clean. It 's my absolute favorite hole-in-the-wall Chinese stop, I just love it."

"Gemstone offers a delightful dining experience. While their sign highlights sushi and hibachi, I highly recommend trying their Taiwanese/Chinese special menu. "Upon placing my order for PuPu for 2 and seafood delight which came up to 40 dollars and change i paid with a $50 and she only gives back a few coins we i ask where the rest of my change 9 dollars to be exact she gave it to me. Her actions were deliberate also food is sub standard .. eggrolls were bad , Chicken not cooked well, barbaque ribs dry and not edible, Beef teriyaky dry , Seafood delight had a lot of sealegs 1 piece lobster 2 scallops a few shrimp. Over all my experience was terrible food was to be ready in 15 minutes to took over 30 and with almost No business.. Save your Money this crummy business should be shut down. "Good food, I have the Mei Fun noodles. If you like strongly seasoned things, I do not recommend this court. But I enjoyed it, it was a beautiful chicken bruth taste. There is no description on the menu, so if I had to tell you what vegetables are in it, I would say celery, white onion, mushrooms, and some other veggie I did not recognize but was delicious. In any case it would have been better if there were more sauce or broth, but nevertheless good. Crab rangoons are sweet, but not too sweet. Sweet and sour was good, came with the bright red sweet and acidic sauce on the side. I'd go back?"

"In town for hockey tournament. Wanted takeout. Had good reviews and was close to the hotel. Very efficient. Food was hot, ready waiting for me when I got to the restaurant. (Right now it’s takeout only but that was what I wanted . Got egg drop and hot n sour soup, vegetable dumplings and chicken lo mein. Soups were as expected and hit the spot. Vegetable dumplings were AMAZING! Lo mein is narrow noodles (I like! and small chicken pieces (also like . Very good!! Came with all the condiments, plates, utensils, napkins and chopsticks. Also had fortune cookies and my favorite HOT TEA BAGS!! Never have I EVER had that with takeout Chinese. Yay! Very pleased and highly recommend!!"

"The food is some of the best Chinese food in the area for sure. Other places seem to cut back on spices and flavor, so their food always tastes watered down. But here they have the right ratio of everything, so it comes out great. The people are nice and make the place worth coming back to. But, post covid, the place looks still closed to dining in as all or most of the tables in the dining room have been taken over for storage use. I'm guessing there's limited storage out back, but I'm happy to take out if they keep making the food the way they do."
