"We visited during the Marietta Food Tour today, and we sampled their pimento cheese balls served with a delightful pepper honey sauce. It was pure bliss! I could’ve eaten a dozen of them, even at the risk of my partner scolding me for finishing them all—believe me, I would have! After that initial taste, we had to return for dinner, and it did not disappoint. We started with the goat cheese-stuffed fried green tomatoes, and they were so good that I felt like I could have slipped into a food coma right then and there. "Delicious" doesn’t even begin to describe them! We also tried the peanut hummus, which, while decent, fell a bit flat for our expectations—it could have used more flavor and definitely less salt. The accompanying celery and carrots for dipping, along with the fresh-baked bread chips, were a nice addition, but ultimately, it didn’t quite hit the mark. We’ve noted to skip that next time. For my entrée, I chose the Social House burger with a side salad. You could tell that the meat was ground in-house and of excellent quality. This restaurant is run by a husband-and-wife team who own the Butcher and Baker next door, which explains their talent—spoiler alert: the husband is the butcher, and the wife is the baker! My burger was cooked medium, topped with caramelized onions, and it was a hefty two-patty creation. Despite having a big appetite, I had to slice it in half to manage it! The side salad was a lovely mix of field greens drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette, topped generously with crispy fried onions and blue cheese crumbles—a really flavorful combination. My partner opted for the fried chicken sandwich, but it’s worth noting that it wasn’t the thick batter-fried type you might expect. Instead, it was lightly coated, likely pan-fried, which made it a pleasant surprise! He also enjoyed hand-cut fries that were crispy and cooked to perfection—quite impressive, especially since I’m not usually a fan of fries! Unfortunately, we were too stuffed for dessert and couldn’t fit in another bite. In conclusion, you absolutely need to check out this restaurant! It’s just one of the many fantastic spots in the square, but it truly stands out and deserves your visit and support."
