"The staff is super nice, the food excellent, the prices so low i worry about their bottom line, and the atmosphere charming. They even accommodated me when I showed up 5 minutes before they closed up--didn 't realize they were scheduled to close at 2pm, but they kept inviting people in. I asked about the closing time, they said they 'just kind of wing it ' each day. When people stop showing up, they close. Love this place! Totally going here whenever I 'm downtown."

"Insanely large portions and mixed bag: Starting with the good: the pastrami was not bad and had a lot of melty cheese. It was enough for 2-3 people. The fries were crunchy and hot and a large portion. The gyro is where the review falls over as the meat missed the mediterranean spice flavor and had no crusty caramalized crunchy bits that one craves when ordering a gyro. The weird mayo sauce smothered everything and made things worse. The portion was enough for 2-3 people also. If you are thinking of caramalized lamb beef shaved off of a rotating spit with that caramalized outside delisciousness, this was the opposite of that. The only reason for three stars is the pastrami panini the fries. If this review were based off the gyro alone then zero stars. You have to love what you do for it to come across in the food and this was definitely not the case."

"Very happy to have this hip spot in my neighborhood. They have a great patio which I will try out for brunch or drinks after the weather cools off. The ambiance of the bar is great and they have a small, but nice draft list, and decent crafted cocktails that aren't overloaded with ingredients like I seem to find lately. The food is good too and the place overall is a great addition to the blossoming Magoun Square/Ball square area in Winter Hill."

"It's a fantastic bargain, especially if you have an entertainment book for 2-for-1 deals. Located right on campus, parking can be a bit tricky. This restaurant has been around for ages, which is usually a sign of quality, right? I tried the falafel sandwich and a Greek salad, both of which were delicious and made fresh to order. The homemade pita bread was outstanding. I will definitely return and would recommend it to anyone on campus seeking something authentic and healthy."

"I was disappointed when the Comcast location of this restaurant closed due to Covid, but they have reopened! I love their Kale Chicken Caesar salad, the Cuban sandwich, and the Viva la Vegan smoothie. The Chicken Parm Pesto sandwich is also a must-try - one of the best vegan sandwiches I've ever had! The prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly, same as before. I noticed they offer delivery through their website or Grubhub, although I haven't tried it yet. "The most disappointing aspect of our meal was when a drink spilled onto the table and into one of our dishes, and it was never cleaned up. We ended up having to use our own napkins to clean the mess and had to ask for replacement napkins. Even after they cleared our main courses, the table still wasn't wiped down before they brought out a birthday dessert. "Always one of my favorite places to grab a to-go order for lunch or dinner. I always get the Athenian Gyro and I’m never disappointed. The time it takes to place the order and get your food is often less than 10 minutes, but I’ve had it be less than 5 minutes. The serving size of the gyro (comes with fries) is extremely generous and I always have to convince myself to not eat the entire thing because it’s too much food but it’s oh so delicious. Although they have a large offering of food, I will always recommend getting the Athenian Gyro."

"It feels a bit strange to be writing a review for Halal Guys since I frequent this place so often. It's become a dependable favorite that I always enjoy. After years of trekking to the carts and standing in line outside in New York, I truly appreciate having a Halal Guys just a stone's throw from home in a permanent location. I typically order through the app, and my plates come with packets of white sauce and hot sauce, plus you can customize it further with the squirt bottles available at the restaurant. I don’t indulge in the cookies often, but I distinctly remember being pleasantly surprised by how good they were."

"Gross do not recommend. Ordered delivery from here on DoorDash around midnight on a week night. The food came extremely fast the lettuce was green and the pita bread fresh. That's about it. Although it was delivered extremely fast, it was not anywhere close to being hot actually looked like it had been prepped cooked days before then microwaved before it was sent to me. The entire meal, even with sauce on top, was so inedible, especially the rice. The baklava was a 3 out of 10 and that's a generous rating."
