I ordered the special salad with garlic bread for the first time from this restaurant. When I began to eat, I noticed that the salad didn’t come with any dressing. I called to ask if the dressing was supposed to be included with the salad or served on the side. The young lady on the phone informed me that it should have been on the side, but I did not receive any. Before I could express my frustration, she bluntly stated that they wouldn't provide me with another salad.
I was taken aback by her immediate dismissal without any apology for their mistake. When I confronted her about her rudeness, she hung up on me. I called back and requested to speak to a manager because I wanted a refund, given that I didn’t receive what I paid for and had encountered rude service.
The manager, named Kala, informed me that she wouldn't issue a refund and claimed I was wasting her time. She said I was rude, mentioned that she had other customers to attend to, and then hung up on me. Throughout this experience, I remained calm and respectful; I never raised my voice or acted rudely.
To make a long story short, I ended up involving the police. Yes, I called them! Ultimately, I was able to get my money back. To add insult to injury, they informed me that I was no longer welcome at their restaurant! It’s astonishing—if they make a mistake with an order, somehow it’s the customer who is unwelcome.
A simple, sincere apology could have changed the entire situation. After this experience, I have no desire to return."
