"if they stop at this place, it is hard to see. they must go up the steps to get there, and it is embedded between other restaurants that have a more prominent presence on macarthur boulevard. Moreover, there is another Asian restaurant just a jump on the same side of the road on the same block that many people tend to often over chen’s. Apart from that, if they only look for traditional Chinese-American takeout, this place will do the trick. they cook eating fresh and fast, even with the Chinese-American flavors of the takeout. but what is great, there is a vegetarian side of the food on their menu. it has fake meat and many vegetables, such as brokkoli, green beans, Buddhist vegetables, steamed vegetables, aubergines and spasm. then they can order the sweet with fake meat that they say is healthy and contains no protein or nothing sweet. it is similar to the type of cut fake meat soy-based pieces instead of individually made pieces. Nevertheless, given the opposite, it is nice that they have this option. the prices correspond to the $13 range for the fake meat dish and $9 for just sweet. it's not exorbitant, but for taking over that I could imitate home, I would just go back when I starved and in the opposite. the aromes are not too complex, but they are not terrible. there are some sitting places in the open, but in the inner there is only about no sitting area, except waiting for her to eat. to the happiness is the service friendly, eating is fresh and hot, and the portions are generous."

"Coming from India these are the eateries that I miss the most .. no fuss places (mostly family owned , with simple yet delicious stuff, easy on the pockets .. serving nothing but fresh food.<br/ <br/ Drawing an analogy, we have them in plenty back in India .. serving Indian food mostly .. called dhabas : .. the seating, decor (even service to me just doesn't matter, all what you long for is the food. And when you find it delicious, nothing comes to mind except the plans for your next potential visit .. he he :D<br/ <br/ Was around the area yesterday and just like that decided to have a bite here ..<br/ To be honest, as soon as I walked in got a bit alarmed with the pre prepared food on the counter, I mean this doesn't happen at an Asian place. The food is fresh out of the wok .. but when I saw the crowd (during lunch hours that too on a working day eased up a bit, there is no way that they could go wrong and still have a full house. : <br/ <br/ So, I had this Lunch combo one rice with chicken and veggies the egg flower soup $6.25 : <br/ The soup came in an instant, smallish bowl but on a cold and slippery day that it was yesterday .. a sprinkle of black pepper and it was needed.<br/ The chicken and rice combo was good too .. actually I had this chicken with veggies and inspite of the simplicity of the dish the range of veggies did impress me .. there were bamboo shoots, mushrooms, baby corn .. even water chesnut in there .. chicken was definitely fresh.<br/ <br/ All in all, the food was good and the occupied tables could be taken as an evidence. :D<br/ Call it my love for such places or anything but I would love to be here often and try all those different dishes specially the spicy soup bun bo hue.<br/ <br/ PS on an extremely ive note; they have this huge selection for vegetarians which is awesome and not that often found."

"'t been in years, I remembered it being very different and yet everything was the same. By same, I mean the same paint, equipment, carpet, and even decor. The large fish tank was half filled in disrepair and hopefully empty as nothing good could be living in it in it 's condition. Our waitress was okay, our Chef was a bit more lively but far from what I had remembered. Very far. We are talking samurai vs Chris Farley kind of difference. The food was pretty good, and I would say above average. The place was really worn down, uncared for and to be honest, gross in some places. I don 't know if it was still due to COVID, a change in management, or both but now, they need to change management or shut it down. Clearly the passion that built the place has left the building. The pricing is pretty silly if you compare it to a normal restaurant but it accounts for the entertainment l imagine. Trust me, it 's not that good and the entertainment is not so entertaining when you are paying those prices. It 's going to take a lot to turn this place back around. I personally would start fresh and abondon the place. I am very forgiving and understanding person, I 'm not going back. Kid-friendliness: Fun for the kids but somewhat dangerous as their face are at grill level. We had a puddle of hot oil pop and splatter my daughter 's face. She was completely fine but a good reminder. the kids had a blast."
