"I visited Gus's in Southern New Jersey last night while passing through Woodstown. It turned out to be a big mistake! I was just looking for a slice of pizza and asked the guy behind the counter how much it would be, but he couldn't even find it in the register. After some time, I finally got my order, which was a sad, lonely slice sitting on a silver plate. The staff reheated it for me, but unfortunately, it came out overcooked and looked unappetizing. I told them I didn't want it.
The owner then approached me to apologize and said he would make a fresh slice. However, when the slice finally came to me about six minutes later, I guessed that this wasn't a fresh one at all since it takes longer to prepare a new pizza. Instead, it appeared that the burned parts were cut away, more cheese was added, and then it was reheated. You could tell it wasn't freshly made just by looking at it.
Ultimately, the cheese was poorly distributed, and I could see where it had been scraped off. The pizza itself was mediocre, but the service was even worse—they clearly have staff who are not well-trained. The place itself also felt dated, and the tables weren't the cleanest. The owner really needs to pay more attention to his business and oversee what his employees are doing. Overall, it wasn't a great experience."
