"I came to Marketplace Grille today for the first time since 2019 and was so happy that it was still the amazing food I remembered. I told my co-worker that outside of my Mom’s home cooked food, this is easily top 3 Mediterranean restaurants in San Diego. I highly recommend the chicken plate or bowl. They cook the chicken kabob on coals, and it’s phenomenal. I would get the herb rice, and always get the side of hummus with the pita bread. It is amazing hummus. Owners and servers are nice, they’ve owned it forever. Great location, very quiet, lots of outdoor tables. This has quickly become my favorite lunch spot in La Jolla."
