"I recently placed a takeout order at Square Roots and was extremely disappointed to find two spoiled steaks in my meat gazer bowls, which were drenched in chimichurri sauce—clearly an attempt to mask the quality. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, who unfortunately shares the name Karen, she insisted that the steaks looked fine when she boxed them up and claimed that she had checked them in the back as well. She refused to replace the meal or issue a refund, even though I offered to return the food. She stated she was the regional manager and that there was no one else I could speak to.
I visit this restaurant at least twice a week, and I can't believe they would risk losing a loyal customer like me. She seemed unconcerned, saying it was up to me if I wanted to stop coming back. This situation led to a loss of $56 for us, especially since my partner even tipped $10 on a pickup order, and we were left hungry.
My family and I have been frequenting this restaurant 2-3 times a week for about six months, and we always tip generously. However, this experience has made it clear that we will not return. I request a refund and would like to speak to someone who can help me with this matter. This is an unacceptable way to treat customers."
