"WRITTEN OVER THREE YEARS AGO PRIOR TO COVID: I visited with friends last night. If you're searching for a cozy, straightforward restaurant that serves generous portions of high-quality Sicilian Italian comfort food, this is the place. The service is excellent, and it's family-owned and operated. The staff treats you like family, actually remembering you after just one visit. Prices are reasonable, and they are accommodating to all requests. I had eggplant parm with ricotta and a side of penne. The ricotta was fresh and high quality, and the eggplant was perfectly cooked—not mushy—and the penne was al dente. The sauce had a pleasantly mild sweetness without being overpowering. My friends enjoyed a seafood platter over spaghetti and veal cacciatore with penne. The seafood was cooked perfectly, not over or underdone, while the veal melted in your mouth. We lingered at the table for three hours, savoring our dinner and wine, and they never once asked us to leave. This gem of a restaurant is off the beaten path, and I highly recommend it!"

"Very cosy atmosphere. The level of cleanliness is just stellar. We walked in on staff cleaning up menus and we saw another staff member thoroughly clean after some guests had left. The service is also relatively quick. Our waiter was polite, courteous,andalways available despite the place being busy at the time we came in. Also you get a lot of bang for your buck. The portions aregenerous and a lot of the items are home made and taste so fresh. One of the best pizzas we've had in Dallas. Also, great placefor a romantic date"

"We tried the best Sicilian margherita pizza at this restaurant! The garlic knots were absolutely delightful. They were served hot and perfect. The staff was also fantastic. Despite receiving a potentially upsetting phone call while we were there, they handled it professionally and calmly. This did not disrupt our family dinner, which I appreciated."

"This restaurant has the best Italian food in town! I recently hosted my son's baptism party in the private dining room and it was wonderful. All of my guests raved about the food, the attentive staff, and the charming ambiance of the place. It is definitely a top-notch spot for dining out. "Went here with friends after a few drinks. The menu here is quite extensive with traditional Italian dishes. There is something for almost everyone here. One thing not on the menu is chicken Murphy. But I asked our waiter if the kitchen could make it. He asked for the ingredient list, I provided it and out it came. One of my friends ordered the same and another took advantage of the Italian sampler. Each of us found our meal to be excellent and more than we could eat in one sitting. We took two bottles of wine and paid a small cork fee $25) to open two very nice bottles. Overall, Prego is a little gem with upsCale service and vibe. If you’re in the area, give them a try. I don’t think you will be disappointed."

"By far the worst pizza in boca. Not sure what the 5 star reviews are eating, but this place is horrible. We ordered a large cheese and gnocchi with meat sauce. Picked the food up and went home. First, you can tell a pizza is bad when you pick up the box and it weighs almost nothing. Can you say cutting corners? Pizza was cold, not cooked, had NO sauce on it, and minimal cheese. I brought it back and showed the girl. She stated that is their normal pizza and I should order extra sauce. Really? They made a new pizza, this time it has sauce, more cheese and was hot, the only problem, no taste. We ate 3 pieces and threw the rest in the garbage. I then tried the pasta, WOW, really bad. It was basically sloppy joe sauce with some meat in it, basically all OIL, disgusting. We have lived here for 22 years, and visited this place a few times, never again, the owner should be ashamed. I am not sure how business like this stay in business."

"We've eaten here when the restaurant was open the food was great. Did take out this time. We had veal parm and shrimp scampi. The shrimp was over cooked with no evidence of scampi sauce and one of the veal was chewy. I called to make the manager aware. She tried to correct with giving us another dish. The shrimp was still over cooked. We ended up throwing it all out. Not worth the $50+ we paid!"

"came here for the first time and went back to explore more from their menu. Como has a variety of pizzas and also offers classic entrees such as Chicken Parmesan and Filet Mignon. I ordered the French onion soup and chicken parmesan. The antipasti salad was also ordered as well as a pizza. My chicken parmesan was accidentally sent to the kitchen as a sandwich and I had to wait a little longer for my duck. I wasn't mad at all because I know it happened and they were also on day 1 of their new menu items. The server and the FOH manager addressed it and they even reduced the meal. The French onion soup was tasty, but a bit on the salty/abnormal acid side. But it was still delicious. The chicken parmesan came with two chicken breasts and the pasta was full of taste. I would definitely like to come back when the weather is warming up and grab some drinks and food outside. If you have never been here before, definitely a good place to come and get some good food and drinks. You also have Traverse City Whisky Co in the house!"

"Am I able to give 0 stars? I've given this place a few tries and they've done nothing but disappoint. Food is usually decent. The hostess was nice and that's about it. Today I go in To have a quick bite on my break, and I'm here for 15 minutes without acknowledgment. A table who cams in 5 minutes after me got their drinks and appetizers before I walked out. I'm not sure if it's because of ethnicity or what the case is, but the waitress always prioritizes the white tables over everyone else. It's disgusting that it's 2019 and she's clearly racist. Won't be having my business ever again."

"I had always heard that this restaurant was famous for their steak tips and dressing. I had been there years ago, but recently went back and wanted to share my experience. Upon arrival, I appreciated the attention to detail, especially during these times when small gestures are important. I started with the Piantadossi bread, which was delicious. The salad was fresh and the dressing was exceptional - clean, light, and flavorful. I could see why it's so popular. The extra dressing on the table was a nice touch. I ordered the Steak/Turkey tip combo, which they are known for, along with a side of pommes and rice. Everything was enjoyable and the staff was polite. I didn't feel rushed at all, which I appreciated. I noticed the people next to me had some Italian dishes that looked delicious, so I'll have to try those next time. It's clear why this place has been around for so long. I was happy to support a local business that takes pride in the quality of their food."

"I tried the pizza at this restaurant when a friend brought some and was very satisfied. I attempted to place a phone order for a small cake, but when I arrived, the manager informed me that I had actually ordered a large one and refused to sell me a small cake without first paying for the large one. I was in the car with someone who had only ordered a small cake for me. The manager then called me back and told me that he would not allow me to purchase the cake because I hadn't paid for something I didn't order, and because it would be inconvenient to have a fresh large cake sliced up. Perhaps if they were not so rude to customers, it would not be a hassle to purchase a fresh large cake for slicing around 12 o'clock. The manager made a mistake and was impolite about it. I hope that this incident does not happen again because the food is actually quite good."

"Today was the 1st day I ordered from Cicero Country Pizza! I was trying to find someplace different from my usual places for pizza and wings! So that is what brought me here from Liverpool! I had the medium thin crust pizza with sausage, mushrooms and peppers! It was incredible and I could even fold it as that is the way pizza should be eaten. I also ordered the regular wings with mild red garlic sauce! OMG! They were the best wings ever! I asked the guy who brought me my order how to reheat the pizza because I live alone and cannot eat more than 1-2 slices at a sitting! So tomorrow I will have a great lunch with the leftover pizza and wings....or maybe a small late night snack! I will definitely be back and anyone who is looking for a great place...this is it!"

"To tired to cook and its friday. So we decided to try Pesaro's. Oh my goodness good! Place was packed. Our favorite server Sara was there. New wonderful server Harry. Now the food. Started off with bruschetta definitely a winner. Cheese stromboli with tomatoes gonna be my regular goto entree. Ken got spaghetti w/meat sauce pasta was perfectly cooked al dente. Sauce was delish but saltier than we prefer, but would order again. We left happy full satisfied and with leftovers for lunch. We will definitely be back as regulars. Glad to hear original owner is back!!"

"The meatball sub was absolutely delicious, as were the mozzarella sticks. We also ordered mild boneless wings but ended up getting honey BBQ instead, which was unfortunate since none of us enjoy honey BBQ. I can't comment on them, although they did look quite good. We had requested bleu cheese to accompany our buffalo/mild wings, but it never arrived; however, that might not have mattered much, since it wouldn’t have paired well with the honey BBQ wings we received by mistake! Anyway, back to the positive — the meatball sub was seriously yummy. I’m not sure I’d recommend it during peak season, as it can take a while to arrive and the bread might get soggy, but at this time of year, when it's beautiful and free of tourists, I wholeheartedly recommend it!"

"Been going here for over 10 years, and it 's not the same. Had a 6-7 year stretch where I was coming out to Colonie consistently, then the last couple of years the company I work for didn 't pick up anything, but now we 're back.The pizza used to be great, now, it 's OK. Floppy, a little on the greasy side, so the crust isn 't crisp, it 's soft. You don 't get a reasonably stiff piece of pizza, it sags.Also, the sausage topping used to be my favorite, but I swear, in the last couple of years, at some point, they changed it, it 's not as good.Haven 't had the wings in a while, but they used to be fantastic, hoping they they still are, as I 'm going to grab some in the coming days.It 's edible and priced in line with everyone else, but it 's no longer a place I look forward to going to, which stinks, cuz it was so good years ago."
