"We started with the fried pickle spears, which were fantastic, and we thought we were in for a great meal. Both of us ordered steaks, along with a salad and mashed potatoes. After 40 minutes of waiting, the waitress returned and informed us that the kitchen had either lost or forgotten our order, so they had to place it again.
Our salad eventually arrived, and to our surprise, it looked like it came straight from a bag at Walmart—untouched and unwashed. Shortly after, our steaks arrived, but both were undercooked. At this point, we had already lost confidence in the restaurant, so we didn't mention it. To make matters worse, the steaks were completely unseasoned. I don't know if this steakhouse believes that the grass the cows eat adds flavor, but I can assure you it does not—there wasn't even a hint of salt or pepper.
As I was pushing through my meal, I noticed that the chefs had actually cut my steak in half to check if it was cooked properly. What kind of steakhouse does that? I was truly shocked. Additionally, this restaurant is located in the old On The Border building, and it seemed like they had made minimal updates. It felt strange eating in a steakhouse that had a Mexican vibe to it.
I left feeling hugely disappointed and unlikely to return unless they make significant improvements. I’m not inclined to trust local recommendations for good restaurants in Great Falls; I’ll rely on outside opinions moving forward."
