"This is the only place I visit for sushi in the area. They’re open late Thursday through Saturday, which is always a plus. They've recently moved to a new location; it's a bit dark, but the food remains excellent. I especially love the hosomaki dinner."

"We tried this restaurant for the first time during Houston Restaurant Weeks. They had 6 courses and all were great. This restaurant was a Benihana style restaurant with the different cooking stations where they cook your entrée right in front of you, and the chef does fancy juggling work with knives, spatulas, etc. Our server was Jennifer, who was wonderful, and our chef was Samuel, who put on quite the show for us. The portion sizes for the entrée and dessert were huge, and we brought many of the leftovers from each course (except dessert) home and plan to eat it for dinner (or dinners) or another night."

"Food: really disappointed about the freshness of the sashimi. The tuna was very chewy, bland, and chunky. The tuna has a lot of white connective tissue that made the piece of fish very chewy and not eatable. The white albacore was pale and dried. Too much and too uneven rice on the roll. The bare beauty roll was good but too much sauce overpowering the fish and the taste of the roll. All I tasted was the sauce.The Half and Half roll was good but the rice was too much and too unevenly in the roll.The service was ok.The place was small sushi restaurant. About 15 tables. Lighting was dimmed low."

"Absolutely the best sushi I've had in years! My wife and her friend have made this place a regular stop and have raved about it so I finally stopped in, and wow, this is a game changer! The place is immaculate, the service outstanding, and the sushi is some of the best I've ever had and I've been to hundreds of sushi restaurants from NYC to California. There's obviously a very strong hand in control of how this company's run you just don't get this kind of quality without a clear vision and firm commitment. "My top 2 onigiri flavors are the spicy lobster shrimp and salmon yuzu miso. I also ordered the umeboshi but it was too sour for me. If you've never been there, I highly recommend the 3 onigiri set as you can try the fancier flavors like lobster and ikura mentaiko and still pay 15 for 3. The ala carte route would set you back 12 just for those two alone. The set also comes with pickles and your choice of a side I got seaweed salad OR a drink. Personally, I don't really drink juice or soda, so the side made more sense to me. I loved the lobster and salmon so much I ordered 2 more to go. I also tried a spicy tuna mayo but that one was just okay. Service is friendly, helpful and efficient. There's a small seating area and you bus your own dishes when finished. If this place wasn't so far from me, I would be coming here more often."

"Food are ok, they have plenty of outdoor seatings under red umbrellas so you get to enjoy the nice Californian weather without sunburns. Their coffee is hot and strong, better than most diners. They have fresh crab Benedict during the weekend, also on the day we went, they had lobster Benedict. We tried both, both were very underwhelming. The portion of crab or lobster were very tiny. For the crab one, I couldn’t taste any crab, can just see some white floss crumbled that’s drenched in oil. We may have enjoyed our food more if we ordered others, but wouldn’t recommend any of the above 2 dishes."

"So I had the Caribbean feels bowl. Overkill of coconut flakes (I couldn’t finish it) and the mango was sour. I also got a ginger beet juice that tastes good so far. I didn’t drink the whole thing. But what really gave them 3 stars were how s l o w they were. One person on the phone orders, and two people taking orders and making the orders at the same time. Then a woman can in, so I’m like great she can get things moving along. Nope she just goes to the back to chat. idk if I will try again."

"Hoping this review saves the next person their money!!! I wish I could leave 0 stars. Whenever you’re in the mood for a sandwich in Hoboken SKIP SubMasters. Usually I order from lusardos or vito’s but they were closed. Absolutely appalled at what this place calls a sandwich. Basically a mayo/mustard sandwich. On the entire hero, TWO PAPER THIN slices of salami and turkey and 1 slice of cheese. Paid $13 for this joke of a sandwich. Usually I’m not one to leave poor reviews but this was absolutely unacceptable. I reached out on instagram and was told I’d get 50% off next time I come in…50% off?! I should get an entire new sandwich with actual meat on it for free next time!! I will not be returning."

"My husband and I are from out of town but wanted to have high tea while we were visiting San Francisco, so we made our reservation for 4pm at this venue. It's situated near a majestic-looking park and though we arrived an hour early, they told us that it was alright and would serve us anyway as the amount of customers was not too hectic. The hostess was very courteous and attentive to our needs and explained everything that would be served to us. The overall venue is a bit small, but cozy and very beautifully decorated.
