"My wife and I celebrated our 5 year anniversary here. My first reservation was for 7pm and I called earlier, the day of and requested an earlier time if 5:45. The obliged, to which I was very grateful for as this really made our night. Our server,Lauren, was sharp, knowledgeable, professional, and all around on point. Very informative with great recommendations. Housecocktails, my wife ordered James and the Giant Peach and I ordered the Golden Child, great movie btw. The golden child is nowmy favorite cocktail. I will learn this recipe For starters we ordered the blacken scallops. Best scallop dish I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, paired superbly with the bleu cheese crumbles and sweet and sour sauce. We also wanted to try the gouda andcrab dip, since it was a local favorite. It did not meat expectations but was a solid 7. For Entree, my wife ordered twinlobster tails, cooked perfectly. I ordered the prime rec, seemed to be a seasonal chef rec. Med rare, cooked perfectly with ahorseradish sauce on the side. FANTASTIC. Dessert we ordered the flaming donuts. Lauren, once again was superb, as she was theentire night. Dealing with what appeared to be a men's club type 10 top, us and another table or two, flambe'd those donutsperfectly, describing the process as she went. We also ordered the brownie, the ape butter spice cake and the apple caramelcheesecake all to go, for the inlaws, for watching or 3 year old. All deserts, were a hit. For me it was the golden child andthe blackened scallops, I will find out the recipes on these items for sure. FANTASTIC PLACE. will be back."

"While this restaurant has an upscale atmosphere, unfortunately, we didn’t feel that the food followed through. Our table ordered the filet trio, the 14 ounce ribeye, and the Parmesan crusted NY strip. All of our steaks were cooked well to the appropriate temperature and looked delicious, but the ribeye was thin, and the Parmesan crust on both the strip and one of the filets was just a little over the top for us. The crust itself just wasn’t what we were expecting and there was quite a lot of it. The garlic mash I had with my strip I thought was pretty good. Creamy, though a bit heavy on the garlic. The others at the table felt it was too much like a purée consistency and not quite a mash. A lot of other reviews say the steaks are overpriced and I have to agree there, especially for the ribeye. The strip was probably the best steak we ordered— a little over an inch thick and tender, but the ribeye was probably 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick and we were questioning whether it was actually a full 14 ounces. The side of lobster mac cheese, however, was very good. Now, this is being really not-picky here, but I even felt that the Caesar salad was a little lack luster. A majority of the romaine in my salad was slightly brown on the edges, but I really liked the dressing and the croutons. All this being said, this was our first time here. We really can’t speak to the quality of the Italian offerings here, so maybe those dishes really are the stars at this establishment. I can say with certainty, though, that we are unlikely to return for steak. We would maybe consider trying something else here if we’re ever back in the area."

"WHAT A RARE, UNEXPECTED TREAT!! Visiting the area for an extended weekend, this restaurant is one of the coolest, definitely THE most unique and well-appointed restaurants I’ve had the privilege of dining! As we drove up to the establishment parking beside the front curb the seasonal decorations with all the enchanted lighting spoke this was gonna be a delight and I was not disappointed! Entering the first floor we were warmly greeted by hostess. Politely she allowed my curious spirit to look around the lobby as this building was like its own town’s lil’ museum hosting an aray of antiques from back in the day when it served as the town’s functioning post office. We walked up flight stairs to find quaint bar with elegant dining. The atmosphere vibes were a balanced mix of upscale classy yet laid back cool and cozy with one-of-a-kind art work decorating the walls. I looked around and quickly wiggled my butt in the back of my chair wanting to get comfortable and stay a while! Service was beyond superb with a touch of “homey, we’re glad you’re here” warm personality. We had cocktails, appetizers, dinner entrees and dessert with hot brewed coffee with each service trumping the previous one. The owner was present, casually stopped at our table ensuring we were well tended too. The entire experience was so wonderful we returned meeting friends two days later! I can’t brag enough about this unique, fabulous restaurant and assure you that no one will be disappointed!! I highlyHIGHLY RECOMMEND!!"
