"It was my husbands 50th Birthday and I put this on my reservation. We went with our two daughters. We were asked if we preferred a table or cozy booth. We chose the booth and the ambiance and comfort was nice. Someone came by to mention about our special occasion so I was glad they knew. Then we noticed others around us had excellent service but we had one waiter and were somehow being switched between two waiters. We ordered drinks and appetizers to start. My sangria which was supposed to be citris and berries had zero berries and tasted too citrus. When I mentioned it, I was without a drink for a very long time and had to ask for the waiter. Our appetizers were served without small plates so we had to eat from the bowl until we asked. We finished our appetizers but the girls were hungry and we were waiting. Others got served bread but we didn’t until we had to ask twice. When I finally got my drink, it had one berry but I was told due to the wait, it was on them. Our other waiter came by later to ask about my drink and I told him honestly it was just okay. He did bring me another drink and then we had a long wait til our meal. Finally the food came out and it was amazing! Perhaps our experience would be good going on. We ordered dessert and I thought they would put a candle in the dessert for my husband. They did not so I figured it was too fancy of a place for that... Except as we were paying the check, the other table in front of us, the waiter brought a beautiful huge piece of cake with a candle, and the table started singing Happy Birthday! How disappointing on such a special occasion. On the check, I noticed we weren’t charged for drinks or dessert but in the end, it wasn’t the experience we wanted. It just unfortunate that we got stuck with staff that may not have been the regular wait staff at our table while others right in front of us got excellent service."

"TLDR: Great food, service, and cocktails in a charming space. French Louie is one of our go-to's for an elevated dining experience. Think date night or a special occasion. It's not that it costs much more than a regular weeknight dinner out but it's just a bit more bespoke. We've been visiting for years and have never been disappointed by the experience. Cocktails are always delicious and mixed to perfection. The Chicken Liver Pâté appetizer is an umami explosion, so tasty and smooth. For entree, it's hard to go wrong with the Bavette Steak Frites. It's always tender and cooked to perfection and their frites are excellent. Lastly, the staff are consistently friendly and attentive. For French in Boerum Hill, FL is tough to beat."

"I want to believe that the management took action after my experience, but I'm not sure if I'd want to return. I visited towards the end of their service (around 3 PM on a Sunday), and I witnessed a waitress taking a hit from a vape right at the register, completely visible to me and other customers at the bar. She had her back to us, probably thinking no one would notice, but I certainly did. It's quite unsettling to see a staff member vaping inside the restaurant so openly. I brought it to the attention of my bartender, who claimed to be the waitress's manager, and said she would address it with her. However, I honestly don’t foresee myself coming back. While management can't control every aspect of staff behavior, it is their duty to respond appropriately, and I genuinely hope they do in this situation. The food was decent, but this experience left me very disappointed."

"This restaurant offers a fantastic atmosphere reminiscent of a German beer hall, featuring long communal tables, a spacious bar, and a variety of games like cornhole. For those seeking a more intimate dining experience, smaller tables are available as well. With around thirty taps and a fully stocked bar, they serve beers at various temperatures tailored to their styles, including many local selections. The food was exceptional, particularly the Fried Chicken sandwich with Korean Chili Aioli and Kimchi Slaw, which provided a delightful tangy kick that perfectly complemented the crispy chicken. The crispy Brussels sprouts glazed with brown sugar and maple were also a standout dish. We are eager to try other items on the menu, like the buffalo cauliflower wings and loaded fries with gochujang. However, we might find ourselves ordering multiple servings of the Brussels sprouts because they were simply irresistible. Be sure to check out this place the next time you're downtown!"

"During my first visit to In the Red Wine Bar, I was welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The dim lighting created a cozy ambiance, and the delicious scents of the food filled the air. On this occasion, however, my group of five arrived early and the experience was not as magical. The owner was clearly having a tough day, as he had not received the wines we had ordered and mentioned he did not have some items available at the moment. Despite the challenges, he did his best to make it work. Although there were some mishaps, such as forgetting an order and warning us about slow service, we still enjoyed the wine and savory food that was served. Despite the rough start, we had a great time and plan to return on a better day."
