"Oh my gosh, I had forgotten how much I love this barbeque. They were the sponsor of the PCBA event last Thursday, and I knew it would be good but it had been a while since I had had been there and quite frankly I was not that excited about the same ole same ole stuff. I could not have been more wrong because a memory jogger for my taste buds was exactly what I needed. Talk about excellent and lingering flavors that I am craving. The bbq sauce was so good, I wanted to drink it. The meats were cooked to perfection and the veggies, beans and peach cobbler all were perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth. Of course, everyone knows their breakfast is the best in the area. I will be showing up there in the next few days.so I can get another fix of yumminess. If you are like me and had forgotten about JR's Loghouse then get back over there so that the flavors can dance again your mouth."

"We were told to sit wherever and we chose a booth. Our server came promptly and took our order. After she brought our food, she never came back to our table to check on us or do drink refills. We waited for over 20 minutes and our server was sitting at thebar on her phone and chatting with two other servers. One time she came right near us to wait on a table where folks had justcome in but didn?t check on us. They were not busy so we called the manager over to complain but he didn?t do anything but shrughis shoulders. At that point she came back and slapped the check on the table and ran off. No offer of drink refills or anapology on the wait time. I had to go find a take home container myself. When she did come back to bring back the credit card,my husband complained to her about her service and she told us we weren?t a table assigned to her. So he told her she stillshould have finished taking care of us since she had started. On our way out another waitress told us not to come back which weclearly weren?t planning to do with such terrible service. It?s a shame because the food was pretty good."

"Looking for a place to hit up brunch and landed here during the weekday! The ambiance and staff vibes felt like the kind of diner that attracts regulars, which peaked my curiosity. I imagine that it's the kind of spot that offers consistency to folks who especially appreciate a solid place to get their fave fixings. No thrills or frills to it!That's what it was for us too. Lots of options to pick from especially if you like breakfast food. I had an omelette with biscuit and gravy and felt pretty satisfied. Hubby and I both left full and happy!"

"I reserved a table for 9 for my birthday around 19:45 clock! . the personal was very nice but shameful to limit the reservation to the specified number when we arrived with 2 extra uninfluenced guests. they got a table for two tour passengers. the server was very warm and friendly. unfortunately they were from one of their clips: brisket! I was surprised that they wouldn't have one of my favorites as a choice. service was good, but we waited one because for the main courses. we were finally the last on Saturday evening in the restaurant. also a birthday desert was not even an option I found strange. the food was super delicious and freshly served. overall it was a very positive experience, but the prices are quite steep for bbq/ South/Comfort food."

"Can't the smoke stop long enough to make their own sides? aside, my pulled pork has been so finely comminuted that I honestly think it was in a mixer or mixer at any place. it is completely missing bark or taste, I think it could be kept in a water bath for hours? mac and cheese tasted as if it came from the mass emergency agents that they can buy at costco. Conserved green beans and broth, which came from a plastic bag, were also part of the meal. cornbread was almost hard enough up to a tooth on the brisket was the best of our options we ordered. it could use a better bark, but was overall good. they had no half-huh, all-huh or truth-head. the chicken breast was in order, it was quite dry at the end, but the center was okay. we were also disappointed to see styrofoam plates and tassen because they are not only terrible for the environment, they are incredibly flimsy. the staff was very friendly, but I wouldn't come back if they didn't improve their food."

"We've been going to Smokey's for years and years and years. They have the absolute best smoked pork around. The baked beans are to die for. I've never found any that even compare. I also love the garlic bread. I've seen issues in the reviews with the service. The thing about it is, the waitresses and the same decor have all been there for years. It has that hometown sort of feel when you walk in as a regular customer. The more you go, the more special it becomes. Now that I've moved north, where there is no good BBQ, it makes me love and miss Smokey's all that much more."

"I had to ask if there was a way in the building 2 9rder food someone outside said to use the intercom. I'm telling hello through the intercom and still no one answers. Bad thing about it is a lady that works there was standing approximately 10feet away and couldnt even stop talking to the men next to her to see what i wanted. I walk over to them and asked how do I order and she said 2 talk into the intercom. I asked for a menu and they said that there's one in front of me but it was faded. I told her i couldn't see it so she directed me around the building so i looked to see what they have. A lady walks out of the establishment and i asked the price of a burger, fries, macaroni cheese collard greens. $11.00 bucks seems a great price so i ordered it. When i got my food, i was terribly disappointed. The greens were a little hard and not much flavor. The macaroni cheese was not good at all. The cheeseburger bun was very thick.the burger meat had no flavor so that goes to say that i didn't like the burger either. I am a picky person and that meal was not good."

"This restaurant has a cool and relaxed atmosphere. I ordered the Pain Killer cocktail and my husband had the KC Old Fashioned, both of which were delicious. The classic BBQ at this restaurant was amazing. We decided to try the Pick 2 Platter, where you can choose 2 meats from options such as ribs, brisket, sausage, chicken, and pulled pork. Between the two of us, we had pulled pork, ribs, sausage, and brisket. My favorite was the pulled pork, while my husband loved the brisket. There were 4 different BBQ sauces to choose from, and I preferred the hickory BBQ sauce. For sides, we had beans, fries, and dirty rice, all of which were delicious. We also tried the fried cheesecake, but unfortunately, it wasn't very good. The service was fantastic and attentive, and the food came out quickly and hot. The restaurant had a fun atmosphere with lively music. I would definitely go back again."

"This restaurant truly embodies a genuine family dining experience that doesn’t cut any corners. My wife Joy and I dine there at least once or twice a month, with breakfast being our favorite, though we also enjoy the lunch options. The Ruben sandwiches are fantastic, and the homemade chips and fried chicken are outstanding. And let’s not forget the amazing collard greens and cheesy grits! We visited on Small Business Day and received excellent service and delicious food. It really feels like family there, and I know most of the employees by name."

"YOU WILL GET SICK. The few unlucky ones of us who ordered from this “restaurant” today through major menus all got sick. We all either threw up or had the BGs. Be wary when ordering from this place because the only two options after consuming the food is for it to aggressively come out the front or the back. Be warned. It’s also not seasoned very well, I see all these reviews complimenting the quality and it really goes to show how little even Louisiana residents know about good Cajun and Creole food. Sad. Gross. Disappointing. Tasteless.Update: “serving food all day and haven’t received any complaints” in response to a complaint doesn’t make sense lol. No thanks. You’ve done enough damage. I’ve learned I won’t order when you are the restaurant offered on major menus. That’s all the help I need."

"We went a few weeks ago, it was a random weekday morning, and it was a cool windy day, we decided to go our breakfast, a few cinnamon rolls, bacon egg and cheese cookies, and two big cups of hot coffee! Everything was AMAZING and sometimes things are compromised when you take it to go, but that was fantastic! Probably the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had!!! Will be back next year and share this with anyone we know to travel there!!!"
