"We were randomly in the Harriman area, so we thought we were trying this place. If you like sports bars, you would really like this place. It's all open with televisions everywhere that means playing days, it's getting a little loud. The waitress said we could sit anywhere, and after she wiped us a stand, we said we needed a few minutes since we hadn't been there. The place was probably about half full, there were two waitresses who take care of everyone. It was probably 5 minutes or more before she came back to take our order. I ordered the smoked chicken quesadilla and some fried pimples with Ranch Dressing. Both were on the appetizer menu. My mother ordered the pulled chicken plate with two sides and got a baked potato and a salad. They use these chic pieces of salad that look like weeds for their salad, which I don't care, but my mother enjoyed it, despite the fact that there is not much salad in it. The food was delicious. That was probably the best chicken quesadilla I ever had. I didn't notice any dirty chicken pieces, it was all good. And our meals came with a lot of chicken. I tried my queen with the ranch dip, sour cream and grill sauce. Everything tasted great even when the acid cream comes into a small package. It took a while to get our food, but it was definitely worth waiting. If I'll ever eat here again, I'll try to choose a day where there are no games, so it won't be so loud or slow. 6/5/22- Today back. The Quesadilla was just as good as I remember, but the service was still slow. The waitress might have been a bit more attentive, but I'm sure I'm back."

"It was a dark and stormy night. (KIDDING Wife was getting a bit antsy about my apparently selfish decision to spend Sunday sitting on the porch with a beer and a book. Why don't we drive up to Georgetown and check out antique end-tables she suggested. That's a wonderful idea Hon I lied, finishing my beer and putting down my copy of How to Murder Your Wife while Hiking the Rockies or Cruising the Caribbean So, after what seemed like a day and a half of driving, we arrived in always beautiful Georgetown. Motoring slowly past the fragrant Paper Plant, the ginormous Steel Plant (it's re-opened) and the eye-catching Sewage Treatment Plant, we once again wondered... Who was responsible for the layout of this town? At least it's not Walterboro, SC, another one of those HISTORIC spots that you wish you'd never gotten off the highway to visit, like HISTORIC DENTON MD for those of you from the Eastern Shore. But truth be told, even Greater Charleston is pretty ugly looking in a post-modern/post-industrial sort of way. Anyway, we soon realized, G-TOWN WAS SHUT TIGHTER THAN A DRUM for Memorial Day Weekend. No warning. No signs. No nothing. One of the things you quickly get used to about the Low Country is that many businesses assume you know they'll be closed on a day that they're normally open. We still decided to park and take a walk (to justify the wasted gasoline) feeling like the only couple who didn't get the EVACUATION ORDER as we strolled the desolate streets. Oddly enough, there were handwritten notices posted everywhere mentioning the AUCTION, BY THE BRIDGE My imagination ran amuck considering the possibilities...Used Blast Furnaces?...Giant Reams of Printing Paper?...Unused Garden Club signs? We'll never know... Because we tossed Cujo into the Conestoga Wagon and headed back south to the Holy City. The wife unexpectedly and magnanimously suggested we visit RESTAURANT WORLD (Park Circle) for some BBQ at the ever dependable SRS. ACTUAL REVIEW OF STARTS NOW We scored a nice umbrella shaded table outside, so that we could play our favorite people watching game in N. Charleston SPOT THE NORTHERNER. Our very congenial server, who humorously claimed to not be a people person did a terrific job taking care of us and keeping Cujo hydrated. I was elated to learn that Smithwick's (pronounced Smiddicks for those of you who drink White Claw and admit it) was on the TAP BEER LIST. My favorite Irish Red Ale, basically a carbonated Guinness Brewing piece of Heaven, if you will. Deciding to go with the server's recommendation, I ordered twelve WINGS with SWEET THAI CHILI sauce (superb) and ROOT RUB, a surprising non-starter; it tasted like a slightly tangy Old Bay. Wife ordered the amazing, SMOKEHOUSE MEDLEY SANDWICH (pork, brisket, slaw) so good, we ordered another one! Cujo had whatever I slipped him under the table. We decided to double down on the artery hardening by getting sides of MAC CHEESE and POTATO SALAD. Glad I wore my non-Athletic Cut 501s today! (I don't really own a pair of Athletic Cut anything at my age anymore My painfully long-winded review aside, we really enjoy SRS! Not to mention a menu that can be read WITHOUT MY GLASSES!"

"Horrible! Took 45 minutes to get our food with only 2 other tables there. Everyone, including kitchen staff were all crowded around the bar watching football. We ordered a $20 brisket pork nachos appetizer without jalapenos. It came loaded with them.(It was clear the waitress took back to the kitchen and just picked them off. Disgusting! But we didn 't say anything. Then therecommended Sampler platter came, had 4 slices of beef brisket. First photo shows two were ALL fat! The pulled pork was so drywe had to drown it in sauce. The other order was a beef brisket sandwich, 2nd photo shows the huge pile of fat beside the meatwhere I had to separate it. When the waitress came (finally to bring our bill, I showed her the piles of fat from both and Iwas going to say something about the appetizer but she took the bill and waived it by and said... I 'll give you a discount. Shecame back...our $103. bill had $2.25 taken off. I really wasn 't asking for a discount, I wanted to express my concern anddislike. I understand meat has fat, but when you order sliced beef brisket, those slices shouldn 't be totally fat! With thelength of time we waited, we counted over 9 different people going in and out of the kitchen, clearly not staff, and coming backout with food. I hope the owner(s read this. (I 've never posted a bad review of anywhere before, I hope it makes a difference!"
