"Honestly I’m sad to write this, I’ve supported this business and sent friends, family and clients here since it opened. On Several occasions I’ve noticed a discrepancy in the pricing vs menu pricing, today I decided to politely question the $9 pricing difference for total order to the worker, who was not new, I’ve seen her there on previous occasions. Sandwich prices for brisket sandwich (which I checked and had pulled up on my phone after ordering being shocked at the total) are $9.25, sides 4.25 each, drinks 2.75. I asked the girl why I was charged $20 brisket dinner meal .50 for a bun (which the meal comes with garlic bread, which I didn’t get either), when I just ordered a brisket sandwich with 2 sides $17.75 plus drink 2.75. Her explanation was that the meal was just more expensive, I asked do I get more meat with the dinner portion, “no it’s just more expensive as a meal”. This didn’t make sense to me so I asked to speak with the owner, who when I 1st walked in he was having a conversation with another guest and when I walked in to pick up the food, before questioning pricing, greeted me and was just standing in the back. I tried to rectify the situation in person but the owner relayed the message that he was “busy packing orders he could come out after a while” Mind you, it was only me one other customer inside. I just wanted to understand the pricing. He has since changed his online menu to remove the brisket sandwich, all within 5 hours of me questioning the price, which had always been on his page, so I guess $20.50 for a brisket dinner (sandwich) meal is the correct pricing, which to me is insane when Meat Fire is almost half that honestly superior to this establishment. And he also refunded me $1.80 after I left. Im not sure where that pricing came from, when it was a $9 difference in total price, im very non-confrontational when it comes to stuff like this so I would never complain about a $2 difference, hence why I’ve never said anything in the past. We also order our fries very crispy and they were floppy/soggy. The Brisket was very bland, it didn’t taste seasoned at all. And even the baked beans didn’t taste like how they used to. I’m still in shock that we paid $49.99 for 2 brisket sandwiches, 4 sides (3 fries 1 baked beans) and 2 drinks. I also think it’s weird to not want to speak to a customer face to face but write long messages to bad Google reviews. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 1"
