"I have eaten at Woody's many times but this is my first review of it. If you follow me, you will remember that I am partial to Prime Rib. Just like the Chicken Fried Steak is the touchstone of any Diner, so is the Prime Rib for any Fine Dining restaurant. The thing is, Woody's is more of a Roadhouse, but their Prime Rib can compete with those white tablecloth establishments. Woody's offers Prime Rib Dinners on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday only and only after 4:00 PM. The portion served is huge (see my photo and is accompanied by a big baked potato, au jus, and horseradish sauce. (If I had to fault the plate, it would be that they do not include a vegetable but, frankly, there is more than enough to satisfy almost any appetite. The meat was tender and juicy and cooked spot on to my preferred doneness of medium rare. Woody's coats the roast with a peppery dry rub, which is a perfect complement to the meat. The price (as of this writing is $24.99, and has not risen since before COVID. To their credit, unlike many places, Woody's does not tack on a surcharge. I added a small green salad (bleu cheese dressing, of course and an Arnold Palmer to drink (free refills , bringing my tab to $32.47, not including a 25% tip. Three cheers to Woody's for offering a 10% discount to active and retired military, police, and fire personnel. (Please note: This discount can only be applied to regular menu items and, since it is a week end special, the Prime Rib is not eligible. By the way, Woody's has a very complete menu, so don't be put off if you're not a carnivore. I have never had a bad meal or a poor experience at Woody's so, with confidence, I can say that Woody's is Highly Recommended."

"I really enjoyed 5 Loaves Eatery. My son took me there, just because. (I love me some him????????. Anyways, it 's a cozy, quaint restaurant featuring all day breakfast. They have an eclectic array of tables/ sitting areas, but neatly/ strategicallyorganized to lend itself to immediate comfort. We were less than arms length from the table next to us (kind of like atMcDonald 's, now that I think about it.. maybe closer . I said that to add, though we were close to other parties, I was able toeasily converse with my son without distraction (and my hearing is not the best this is along with the perfect volume balanceof music in the background (I sang along with most of the songs in between talking .. Anywho, I ordered one of the specials:shrimp salmon (croquette grits. It was divine .. a nice, flavorful, semi-spicy mix of mmm mmm! Okay, I 'm being a bitdramatic. But, save a little more need of seasoning for the croquette (my son tasted a bit, then asked me to make mine for himsoon , it was delish! Of all the shrimp grits I 've had at different establishments, this is the only one that comes close (ifnot surpass Peaches restaurant (47th King Dr . Oh, 5 Loaves ' sauce comes either original (pork, which I had or turkey (forthose who do not eat pork.. I thought that was pretty cool . My son had the pancake breakfast (grits, eggs, of coursepancakes with the Parker House sausage (mild, but they may have spicy available too because there were spicy bits of sausage inthe shrimp salmon grits sauce???? . He enjoyed them. I guess they do something magically with their grits, too (or he hadn 'thad any in a while . He openly savored each of the initial bites!???? Aaaand then there 's the jar of juice. My son selected a half gallon of the Easy Living. The juices are available in a quart half gallon... Though we knew the size he 'd ordered, we(and others around us were taken aback when it arrived to our table. It was jaw dropping, fun, and exciting"
