"We have been going to the Tower of the Americas for our anniversary celebration every year since Once Landry took over the restaurant, the food has been going downhill. Admittedly, the main reason for our dining is the ambiance of the experience. The view is spectacular. This year, our Anniversary, we once again went to the Tower and Charthouse restaurant. Ever since Landrys took over the food has been sub par but we took the chance again this year. Suffice it to say, for a parking fee, a tasteless fried shrimp with noodle entree and an ABSOLUTELY RAW New York strip priced at a chopped salad at and a Ceaser salad at after years we will not be going back ever again. To add insult to injury, as per our custom over the last years we wanted to go to the observation deck to celebrate where I asked my wife to marry me back in To my surprise, after years and spending on a dinner, we were informed that it would be an ADDITIONAL EACH to go to the observation deck. We were NEVER informed of this ridiculous charge beforehand…bear in mind, we had already paid to park and eat. We were one story below the observation deck. But we were told that unless we paid an additional each we were not allowed to go up. Our anniversary dinner was ruined due to the greed of Charthouse. The food was horrible…in fact inedible. I did call and leave a message for the general manager of the Charthouse to attempt to address our concerns but of course I never received a return call. After years, we will NEVER EVER return to this disgrace of a restaurant. The owners and managers of this atrocity should be ashamed of themselves. If you detect that I am angry you are correct…the one night a year that my wife and I splurge on a dinner for our anniversary was completely ruined by the inedible food and greedy proprietors. We will NEVER go to this restaurant EVER AGAIN. Beware….dine here at your peril."

"Follow up: I received a response below although they never followed up after I sent the email they requested. The restaurant has done nothing. Horrible experience, Total Waste of and time. I’m staying in a nearby hotel with my dogs. I called and ordered 2 pieces of plain grilled salmon 30each) and a NY strip steak 42). I had a discussion with Amanda that the salmon was for the dogs and needed to be prepared plain, no seasoning or oil. Amanda assured me they would do this. I ordered the steak medium well. I picked up the food and noticed immediately that the salmon was seasoned and full of oil. I reminded that I ordered plain for my dogs, The server just stared at me. I had waited over 15minutes in the parking lot then left. The next day, today, I called the manager and told him what happened although also said I wanted to reorder tonight and would he make sure they didn’t mess up my order again. He said yes he would make sure the salmon was prepared plain and the steak medium well although also said he could not give me a credit or any refund for the food the previous night. I decided to give him another chance and I ordered the same. I picked up my food, the salmon covered in lemon and oil and the medium well steak burned so badly on the outside and raw red inside. The manager wouldn’t even step outside to give the food to me when I explained I was outside the door with my dogs. I think the service is horrible, the manager is unprofessional and probably shouldn’t be in customer service I wasted 240.00 on food that was not edible. They did nothing to correct the order or refund my . Beware , such a rude, unprofessional group over there as far as the take out service. I imagine the same inside as I did deal directly with the manager. I’ve always had good experiences at other Chart House restaurants around the county. This one in Savannah was not at all up to the same standards."
