"I’ll start with our initial impression upon entering the restaurant—the smell that welcomed us reminded us of unpleasant well water. We almost turned around and left right then, but after hearing so many positive reviews, we decided to stay. We ordered a family meal that included two entrees, two soups, two egg rolls, and two cream cheese puffs (which we won’t refer to as crab puffs since they contained no crab). I thought the portion sizes were generous for $30, which is quite reasonable. The food was served hot, and the flavors were excellent. Their hot and sour soup was the best I’ve ever had. However, my dish had an overwhelming amount of onions and only a few pieces of beef, though the flavor was still great. My husband's dish, on the other hand, was full of fresh vegetables and had a good amount of meat. The service was also commendable; our drinks were constantly refilled, and the staff checked on us frequently. Overall, I would give this place a solid 4 stars if it weren’t for that off-putting smell. Additionally, they have signs indicating that unvaccinated individuals must wear masks due to COVID-19 protocols. If we decide to return, it will likely be for takeout."
