"On the day of our reservation, we were the first to arrive at the restaurant, yet the staff member who seated us brought us to a side window. When my husband politely inquired about our original request for the large window table, the staff member became visibly upset and exclaimed, "I cannot rearrange my entire seating chart!" He refused to accommodate us, and his anger left us unsure of how to proceed.
Throughout our time there, the wait staff was cold and inattentive. The same staff member continued to give us dirty looks, which made us incredibly uncomfortable. While the food itself was good, the negative atmosphere overshadowed our dining experience. This incident ultimately ruined my Mother's Day celebration. My husband felt terrible about the situation, and it was disheartening for our children to see me treated poorly on what was supposed to be a special day.
I later reached out to the restaurant via private email, and while they did express their apologies, there was no resolution. The communication dragged on as they kept asking for my phone number. With life's busyness, I decided to move on from the issue. I sincerely hope they have addressed the behavior of that staff member so that no one else has to endure a similar experience. It's unfortunate, as we have enjoyed dining at this restaurant for two decades.
