"My family and I have been loyal patrons of this restaurant for 20 years. The meatballs are the best in the area, and my husband loves the steak bomb. However, after watching Channel 9 news last night and learning that the owner has decided to trademark the term "steak bomb" and prevent other sandwich shops from using it, I find this to be a fairly petty move typical of franchises. Sandwich shops throughout New England have been using the term "steak bomb" for years! I worked at a sub shop in Salem, Massachusetts back in the 70s that used the same name. It has long been a common descriptor for an ultimate steak sub and has been adopted by many establishments. I’m sure other loyal customers feel the same way. When we first heard about the owner's decision to expand and franchise, we were happy for him, but now we feel let down and will no longer be visiting your Derry location. Unfortunately, you've done exactly what larger businesses tend to do—overlook the little guy. In time, I believe you’ll see just what your trademark has cost you. I hope the letter "R" is worth it."
