"I grew up in the Northeast, where diners run by Greek families were pretty much a given. Not so here in the South... or so I thought. I just had to look a little harder in order to discover this gem of a Greek diner in a storefront. To me, Benetis is a Greek Diner because it is run by a Greek Family and serves traditional Greek and Mediterranean foods, such as Moussaka and Gyros. I've been there many times, mostly for breakfast. I can highly recommend their Eggs Benedict. Benetis is NOT like a Greek Diner because they are not open 24 hours a day, seven days a week except Christmas. That's okay. Also, unlike a traditional diner, Benetis has no counter; tables only. I tend to be a people watcher. At times, especially weekday mornings, Benetis is host to large groups of senior persons, who really seem to enjoy having a place like this to go to to meet up with their friends and chat over a good meal. The first time I was there I felt an instant attachment. The hostess was friendly and spent a bit of time with me. I also witnessed something I've never seen at so-called chain restaurants: early one morning when the wait staff arrived, the hostess hugged each of them. Later, when more customers began to arrive the waitstaff hugged them! I should mention that on weekdays Benetis offers a Mediterranean Luncheon Buffet for a very reasonable price. People really seem to go for it. Benetis is located together with other eclectic venues in the Greenwood Commons Shopping Center along NC Highway 55 at Sedwick Road in South Durham. They're open for breakfast and lunch, from 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM, every day except Tuesday, including weekends."

"We decided to go out to dinner for Valentine 's Day. I wanted Italian we found this cute place not far from us. Not long of a wait to be seat maybe 5 minutes. They were a little busy. We were seat and two other couples were seat on the sides of us shortly after. The couple to the right of me were brought bread and menu out right away. We had to wait until our server asked us if we had menus yet. About 5 mins later we got our bread. Shortly after we placed our orders In. We got our drinks. Bread was good but the oil balsamic mix was too much balsamic. We waited over 30 minutes to get our salad. Which was just a garden mixed salad. At first I had ordered the ceaser but my boyfriend point out that it 's garden so I asked the girl to change it. Mind you we waited 30 mins now. She brings us the salad and the dressing is served in little cups. Of course it 's Ceaser dressing. So I asked for ranch. She brings back ranch and kind of just drops it on the table here 's your ranch and runs off. She didn 't look happy. Needless to say the salad was nothing to write home about. The ranch had a vinaigrette taste to it. But let me say when we got our dinner plates they were good. My boyfriend ordered the linguine with clams. (Not pictured) and I got the chicken rigatoni basil I asked them to add mushrooms which they did. Our plates came out hot and tasteful. I asked for Parmesan on top. The meals were great. If e go back I would like to try the dish with sun-dried tomatoes also. While we waited for our food my boyfriend said we wouldn 't go back and he was ready to leave seeing how other people were served quicker than we were. However after we ate our dinner we were happy with the taste and quality of the food and would give this place another try."

"Whoever the “manager” is needs to be replaced immediately and yes I am talking about Tammy. I’ve been in Sonoma for all of my life and so has my family, we chose to rent out the outside sitting area that is under the roof, I’m not sure what it’s called but it’s the areas right outside the entrance. We rented it out for my sisters baby shower I am not sure what conversation our mother had with the staff/workers but keep in mind there was no contract for ANYTHING, nothing was signed. We bought 4 trays of finger food to feed 30 people (there was only around 13 people who showed) we did not by the constant refill food trays just 4 trays. After all the festivities where over and all guess left exept family members two workers who were hosting the food and tea came out to box all the finger food that was left so we could distribute it throughout the family. Everything was going to plan and here come an EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL assistant manager busting open the door and proceeds to chew out the workers “DONT BOX FOOD” “YOU NEVER BOX FOOD” making a whole scene infront of my pregnant sister and half of our family, my mother stepped in asking why can’t they box food since we need something for the food to go in so we can take it home the manager walked over to my mom and said straight to her face “you can’t take this food home” my mother being clearly confused asking why can’t we take food we PAID for and here were her very loud excuses (she was yelling the whole time) “it’s against health code” no it is not, if it was they do u have boxes? And we saw people walking out WITH BOXES OF FOOD? While this is all happening the workers are taking all the boxes BACK into the kitchen. Then while my mom brought up how much of a waist it was the assistant manager said “we work with a women shelter we are giving it to them” oh yeah so it isn’t against health code if it was it would be ILLEGAL donate it. so here we are no food in our hands and a 1,655 bill all for food we can’t take home for No real reason. Once everyone realized that they called the manager again and this was her second excuse “it was in the contract” like I stated before there was no contract and even if there was my mother NEVER signed it, now nothing was legally binding them to taking our food away that WE PAID FOR. This whole scene the assistant made caused my pregnant sister to CRY. Instead of quietly talking to the workers and my mother she made a whole scene which ruined the moment and made my sister extremely uncomfortable. We held up a fight and left with 4 out of 30 sandwiches and some fruit. There was NO REASON for her to act like that and there is no reason for us to not have our food. So now they have our money and our food, scam. We will be talking to the actual manager about this, it would not be this big of a deal if it was just not being able to take home food but causing a scene they yelling at workers and my family is just disrespectful to yourself and your place of work, chewing out YOUNG workers for boxing up food is just weird. And why not talk to the worker and whoever planed the party in privet and not make a whole deal about it. we gave u money you gave us food we can do whatever we want with the food. I’m a literal teenager and I’m shock at the fact that the managers assistant was this disrespectful with her own workers and to costumers. Never going back and this will be brought to justice."
