"My husband and I made a dinner reservation for dinner, we were seated near a large party and the server ignored us while he finished with the tab, it was probably a tab he was about to make and that’s why he ignored us. Just the two of us sitting there, him walking by looking down...Not even a hello or Hola!! We were disappointed we had to walk out and the hostess told us, “have a good night! “Never again will we go to El Torito in San Bernardino. What a waste of time!!"

"What a delightful Mexican restaurant! Everything was fantastic. The wait was short, the staff was friendly and attentive, the restaurant was clean, the music added to the atmosphere, and the food, oh my goodness, it was amazing. There are many Mexican restaurants around, but this one truly exemplifies great Mexican cuisine. My partner had the medium rare carne asada, which melted in their mouth. I had the spinach enchiladas with white sauce, and they were the best I have ever tasted. If you're looking for a great Mexican restaurant, this is it! We will definitely be coming back, and we will bring anyone we want to impress here."

"We started our meal with white queso, and when we inquired about other salsa options, our server kindly brought us two spicier choices. Mrs. Flip Out ordered the chimichanga dinner and absolutely loved it; it was full of flavor, and the queso sauce was fantastic. I chose a burrito and enjoyed it as well. The spicy salsas were particularly good—they had a nice kick without being overwhelming, allowing us to really savor our meals. Little Flip Out was also happy with his taco. However, the service was rather slow, as our server seemed to focus on one table at a time, which made her seem a bit unavailable."

"I've been to this restaurant twice now, mainly to enjoy their amazing margaritas, which are truly top-notch! During my latest visit, I decided to try the Camarones a la Diabla since I was in the mood for something spicy, along with some Mexican nachos. When I called to ask if I could substitute beef for extra beans, the staff was super helpful and even suggested adding rice, which I thought was a nice touch! The team was very friendly when I picked up my food, and it was both satisfying and delicious. I will definitely be back!"

"The first time I visited this restaurant, I knew I would come back just for the chance to sit by the window overlooking the ocean at a table that made it feel like we were dining above the water. The ocean view alone is worth the trip to Redondo Beach. This pier may not be as popular as Venice Beach or Santa Monica, but that's perfectly fine. There are plenty of dining options, easy access to the beach, and people fishing all day and night. El Torito is a well-liked Mexican restaurant. The food may not be exceptional, but it is tasty enough. Combined with the stunning view and great customer service, it makes for a lovely evening. My favorite dishes were the cheesecake, rice, and beans."

"Soggy Burritos, I asked if they could give me burritos this time instead of a burrito soup and still received salty soggy mush. Im no burrito expert, but I kind of thought you eat burritos with your hands and not a spoon. Thought I got chips dip with them also, nope. Asked to add lettuce which I paid $1.25 extra for, nope. This place is will never see a penny from me again though. Don 't take my word for it, go grab a spoon and a soggy burrito from El Cap!"

"We were seated fairly quick and ordered a large Texas margarita. The server was ok but could've been a bit friendlier. Chips and salsa was good. We ordered the carne asada and Mauricio's steak, the meat is definitely a lower grade cuts as it's too grizzly and very thin which is also overpriced IMO. We did like the ambiance as it seems to be family friendly place. The food took a bit to come out but we weren't in a rush and gave us some time to chat. However, the server was only around to serve food and left us alone. The manager (guy with long sleeve shirt) did walk by and ask how we were doing and seem super friendly. Overall, the food was subpar BUT big cheers to the bartender the Margarita was amazing, hence the 3 star."

"I have put a call and the maitre d' was a very friendly and friendly, dark haired young man. the taco salad was good and the clientele was friendly in the bar. a beautiful festive atmosphere. I ordered a soft drink in the bar and I had to ask to get it in a glass I thought was surprising. it took a while to get the drink because they had the taste I wanted in the cellar or in a storage area and it had to be retrieved. the place was busy and for me this is a good indicator that it is a good place. "The food at this restaurant is exceptional, served in a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Our waitress was attentive and helpful, enhancing our overall dining experience. The bread selection includes three varieties, all made in-house and delicious. I often stop by on my way out of town to bring some bread home to share with friends. The salad was fantastic and the vodka chicken pasta, a specialty dish, was cooked perfectly with a delightful sauce. The menu features seasonal specials and all desserts are homemade and delicious. We enjoyed sharing the ice cream sundae topped with caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache, which was large enough to serve four people. We will definitely be returning to dine here again when we come back to Mayo and Golf."

"We eat here a lot (roughly weekly and it's usually the same story. When you arrive, you're seated quickly and they are very fast at getting your order and providing chips and salsa. They have great salsa, and the chips are okay: sometimes they are crisp but airy and amazing, other times you can tell they're old. The bacon fajitas (fajita mi casitas are AH-mazing! But you probably will not get a drink refills and you certainly will not get chip refills. They are the only Mexican restaurant I've been to where they charge for a refill of tortillas with fajitas, and the single 3-shell refill is almost the same price as the fajitas (charged me $4.50 for 3 shells! . The view of the river is great. Parking lot is rough gravel rock so be warned if you're in a wheelchair or heels. Interior is cozy and they have a little patio outside by the river. Good food but service can be iffy (the waitress is the same almost every time--shes very, very nice but not very attentive ."
