"I've known about this restaurant for a while, but decided today we wanted to give it a try. If it wasn't so windy, I might have chosen to sit outside, but I will say that the hostess didn't offer that as an option, but there were people seated outside. They have booths and tables inside. I also wondered if she'd forgotten to let someone know that she had seated us, because there was nobody else in the dining room at the time, but it did take a while for anyone to come over and greet us. From that point on our experience was very good. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, he offered suggestions and let us know what off menu special they had for the day. On weekends they also have a Brunch menu, which had some tempting options. We ordered two entrees: Grilled Chimichurri Chicken with Sauteed Spinach and Mashed Potatoes and the Chicken Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Onion Rings. The food was all great! The chicken was tender and juicy, but the chimichurri, which was quite good, was more like a verde sauce in my opinion. It went well with the chicken, so no complaints on that part. The Chicken Fried Steak was tender and tasty and covered with cream gravy. All of the sides were delicious. I was particularly impressed with the Spinach, it had a wonderful flavor and was cooked perfectly. The mashed potatoes and onion rings were also wonderful. The entrees also came with a roll, which is topped with honey. I never turn down bread, so right up my street. The prices are little above average, but the portions were large, so more than enough for two meals if you're not a big eater. The one reason that they didn't get five stars here, from me, was the added 3.5% CC (credit card) charge on my ticket, which does appear to have been noted on their menu, however, I didn't notice that, and it's not mentioned by the server, so it was an unexpected charge when I got the ticket. I wasn't asked if I was paying by cash or card, so the CC charge may be automatically added as possibly most people do pay by credit card. I had a coupon, so I didn't bawk at the credit card surcharge, however, I can understand why someone might. This was a first for me, as in all the years and many, many restaurants I've eaten at, I've never been charged for paying with a credit card. Overall, the service was great, the food was great and I know what I know about added costs, so I have all the information that I need to make my decision...I would definitely go back, I'd recommend them, I'd forewarn about the 3.5% CC surcharge and personally, I might choose to pay cash."

"We almost left the restaurant at first. My husband took me out on a date for our very first time at STH, and it was a Saturday night. We were told there would be a 20-minute wait, but it ended up being just 15 minutes. After being seated, we noticed the waitstaff cleaning crumbs from tables onto the floor and chairs. We waited... and waited... and waited. Nearly 20 minutes passed with no service. My husband and I exchanged puzzled glances, wondering what was going on. He eventually spoke to Noah, the front of house manager. Meanwhile, waitresses were attending to tables next to us and behind us, but no one even acknowledged us. To add context, my husband has years of experience as a manager for Darden Restaurants, so he knows the ins and outs of the business. We were definitely unimpressed, because service is crucial! The server who overlooked us missed out on a potential 30% tip. Noah eventually approached our table, apologized, and took our drink and food orders. We had enough time to review the menu thoroughly, so I appreciated that he would be our server for the evening. He engaged us in great conversation and made sure our meals were fantastic. He truly made up for the earlier misstep! When our food arrived, it was hot and delicious. We started with the Canyon crab flatbread appetizer, which was delightful. I ordered the Roman parmesan-crusted chicken topped with mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil over mashed potatoes and sweet potato fries. My husband opted for the Crab Stuffed Shrimp and the French Quarter dish. I couldn’t resist trying some of his crab-stuffed shrimp with the spinach, and wow, it was superb! Noah checked in on us to see how everything tasted, and I told him my food was good, but my husband's dish was even better. He graciously brought me a few crab-stuffed shrimp on the house, and they were absolutely delicious! By the end of our meal, we were stuffed. Before we finished, Noah asked if we wanted dessert. My husband and I exchanged glances because we were incredibly full. Noah then shared a lovely story about his grandmother’s famous carrot cake, which made us rethink our decision..."
