"All the comments about the warmth and welcome of the staff, are in stark contrast to my experierence as a single woman eating at the bar sparadicaly over the years. I live two blocks away. As I am not a regular and a woman alone, I am tolerated. That 's it. Case in point, this evening. I came in, sat at bar, ordered a glass of red wine and a menu. Was never informed of the specials or even asked if I would like to be so informed. Nor afforded any sort of acknowledgement by the host, who effusively else. All of which made me an observer and was rather appalled to hear a server inform a table he was out of livet, but who cares!?. Effectively insulting everyone within hearing distance who likes liver, including diners at the table he was addressing and me. Then there is the woman who isapparently training observing in sime capacity, who is inappropriately dressed and completely ugnored by staff bustling around her. A conundrum and cringe-worthy. I love the food here and the old school ambiance... and would come more often, except for the fact there are so many places in the 'hood and beyond where I am accorded more warmth and welcome. All the above said, Jenny Genie (sp? , the bartender this evening was the most pleasant I have ever encountered here in the 20-ish years I have done my sparodic dining thing."

"A hidden gem? I reviewed their menu before making our reservation?and after seeing some familiar favorites and things I have been wanting to try, I booked us a table. First, this restaurant has the warm, quaint feeling of a family-run restaurant but with all the accoutrements of a fine dining establishment?Sommelier, extensive menu with fine Italian cuisine and a complimentary wine list, several wait staff for all your service needs. They were extremely attentive. Nomosquitoes or flies. My guilty pleasure is Pasta Grannies, so I treated myself to the arancine, fried balls of rice and cheese (terrible, right? So good! I also get the caprese every where I go, and it was excellent. We ordered thebolognese and my husband had the pomodoro. Safe choices? Yeah. But at a new restaurant don?t order anything crazy (if you want amazing seafood go to a sushi restaurant, if you want good steak, go to a steak restaurant, if you want goodgnocchi, go to an Italian restaurant... and second, ask your server what they recommend. Molto bravi!! Grazie!"

"Found this place on Insta, made a Resi, appeared in a mall outskirts and they had half of the cage wall down what made me think maybe they were closed. They also had a radio station as a music game, so most of our meals had commercials blown through them. I was also calculated 12$ for a salad with the hearts of palms and wild spring mix. Then the tomatoes and cucumbers were only cut. How is LAZY cucumber circles?? That waaas avo on it. But the size was def a side salad size and perhaps worth 9$ maybe 7-8 Bc the location of the restaurant. My husband ordered the pasta in a cheese wheel. This is really only cooked in the kitchen and tasted in the Chz. I had this preparation other places, and it was Aldente to finish in the wheel is much better. They also only worked ONE wheel and ordered other tables that slowed down the process, which was already SOOoO Slow. Before passing the bike, we've been thinking about how slow the food took and what happens at a busy night? The night was maybe 4 tables. The best we had was the pizza. If we're back, it's just for pizza. The amount of basil was stingy. But crust and sauce were great. The staff was nice, but things like long tickets have been made, and the whole radio situation makes me wonder how could it not interfere? Or do they even notice?"

"Although we were greeted warmly and the atmosphere seemed nice. I first heard beeping. It was the smoke alarm that needed a new battery. Not great background sound. I ordered my favorite meal Chicken Marsala over a bed of linguine. I received the dish and was shocked to have the linguine with a red sauce on the same plate as the chicken in the Marsala sauce. I requested they fix it. I got spaghetti instead of linguine. The Marsala sauce tasted like regular brown gravy. And there was absolutely no flavor, bland!! I couldn’t eat it. Two people from my group of 12 ordered the sea bass special. It didn’t appear fresh. Smelly and sent it back. The replacement lasagna was also bland. My husband who loves chicken parmigiana also disappointed. Got spaghetti instead of linguine. The chicken wasn’t breaded. The marinara sauce had no flavor. I have never written a food review. I wish it was a better experience but it wasn’t."

"Family oriented cozy spot with vintage Italian dishes and a truly loving sensation to their customers. we tried a few dishes, with in them: meatball dish on a bed of potato pure with marinara which was very rich in flavor. The eggplant a la parmesan was toasty crisp, also very rich in flavor. and we divided a watermelon salad topped with cherry tomatoes, goat cheese and a house made vinaigrette, which extremely fresh it flavor. For the entry dish, I ordered the gnocchi a la bolognese (gnocchi made fresh daily) .. like Alcapulco, it was an exquisite and elegant dinner, definitely recommend it! #Masacote"
