You can find better taste and ambiance at Thai Brothers in Laguna Beach or Spice Thai in Lake Forest, although both are considerably more expensive and not located in San Clemente. This restaurant is a great option for takeout if you're craving Thai food locally. While the dining area has a somewhat generic feel, it's acceptable. However, the manager and servers are genuinely nice people, and the food is definitely decent. It feels almost like a hole-in-the-wall but lacks that cozy, lived-in charm. That said, the food is still satisfying. The nearby Thai Paradice in North San Clemente is a true hole-in-the-wall, but despite claiming to use the same recipes, their food isn't quite as good. I highly recommend the Tom Kha with shrimp, Panang with beef, Green Curry with pork, and the Yellow Curry if you prefer milder options."
