"A group of us decided to take a boat ride from Navy Yard and wanted to have dinner beforehand. After a quick vote, we settled on Thai food. There were six of us, and we arrived around 5 PM on a Friday night without a reservation. We were seated immediately, which was a plus. However, our server was anything but friendly—she was short and rude. I’m not sure why she was so off-putting since the restaurant had just opened at 4:30.
The menu had reasonable prices and a good variety of options, including sushi. However, I found it a bit excessive to charge an extra $4 for adding broccoli to any dish; it's just a vegetable and quite inexpensive. On the bright side, the food was delicious and packed with flavor, and they really understood how to handle spice levels well. We didn't order any drinks, so I can't comment on those.
Since we were a party of six, gratuity was automatically included in the bill, but honestly, our server didn't seem to earn it. Overall, while I might consider ordering takeout in the future because the food was good, I wouldn't want to dine in again. We probably should have gone to the Mexican restaurant instead!"
