"A group of us decided to take a boat ride from Navy Yard and wanted to have dinner beforehand. After a quick vote, we settled on Thai food. There were six of us, and we arrived around 5 PM on a Friday night without a reservation. We were seated immediately, which was a plus. However, our server was anything but friendly—she was short and rude. I’m not sure why she was so off-putting since the restaurant had just opened at 4:30. The menu had reasonable prices and a good variety of options, including sushi. However, I found it a bit excessive to charge an extra $4 for adding broccoli to any dish; it's just a vegetable and quite inexpensive. On the bright side, the food was delicious and packed with flavor, and they really understood how to handle spice levels well. We didn't order any drinks, so I can't comment on those. Since we were a party of six, gratuity was automatically included in the bill, but honestly, our server didn't seem to earn it. Overall, while I might consider ordering takeout in the future because the food was good, I wouldn't want to dine in again. We probably should have gone to the Mexican restaurant instead!"

"It's been a while since we last ordered from Osaka. While never top tier it has always been decent and better than most other spots in this general neighborhood. Well, that seems to have changed. We ordered a Sushi Deluxe for two, Chirashi, three Eel Hand Rolls and six pieces of Mackerel Sushi. I kinda got the sense that something was amiss when I was placing the order. I asked for six pieces of Saba Sushi and the girl taking the order had no idea what that was. Rule to self. If an establishment doesn't understand the Japanese or Korean names of the fish it's probably a good idea to order elsewhere. Back to the review. The fish, overall, was completely flavorless, lacked texture and was full of water. I think the fish was improperly thawed. Or, it was thawed, refrozen, and then thawed again. That's a no, no. In addition to lacking flavor and texture it really didn't look appetizing either. The piece sizes were very small. Which is fine given that they were lousy. But if it was good I would have wanted larger pieces. The hand rolls were also very small and not prepared very well at all. Osaka has changed hands several times over the years but the quality and preparation has always been pretty consistent. Unfortunately the current management or ownership has dropped the ball. For what it's worth, I gave two stars because they were polite and the order was well packaged. I doubt that I will return."

"The packaging was terrible. The bag wasn't even stapled shut, which was disappointing. They opted for paper bowls instead of plastic, and unfortunately, the containers leaked through the packaging. The portion sizes were very small as well. I would recommend choosing a different ramen place. Such a letdown."
