"A thoroughly enjoyable brunch on a picturesque sidewalk patio in University Heights. I really liked how they leaned into the Baja California style of Mexican mashups. The Carnitas Stuffed Roasted Polenta Cakes was especially memorable.Carnitas Stuffed Roasted Polenta Cakes: I've eaten a lot of brunch in my day and never had anything like this! Two slabs of polenta that were crispy all around the outside and mushy on the inside, which was just perfect. In between, lots of meaty carnitas exploding with flavor. Then some sort of nice smoky chunky salsa on top and cheese on top of that. I ordered my eggs poached and the runny yolk was perfect on it.Green Chilaquiles w/ Chorizo: I'm a bit spoiled enjoying great chilaquiles in San Francisco at our Saturday farmers market at the Ferry Building. Despite those high expectations, I enjoyed theirs. The addition of chorizo (ground mounds, not slices) added a heartiness to the dish and an extra dose of spice. Ample amounts of green sauce to cover all the crispy tortillas and make them soften up a bit. A little egg for extra protein. I guess the only thing missing for me would be some avocado chunks mixed throughout."
