"Stopped by in person and had clam chowder as a way to fairly judge any seafood restaurant. It was “meh”. Way too heavy on the potato, minimal clams, and very thin. Service and atmosphere are outstanding! But it was close by to where we were staying so I called the next day to place a pickup order. Ordered on the phone and the employee tells me that they add a 15% gratuity to pickup orders. Needless to say; this is exceptionally unusual and off-putting. So I politely said that I’d like to cancel and look elsewhere. And the employee had the audacity to say: “seriously, dude?”. Maturity got the better of me, and I immediately hung up, instead of getting into an argument. But that lame food, extortionate pricing, and rude staff made me come here and leave this negative review. Too bad, this place could be amazing. Just poor management is all."
