"**Views:** The outdoor patios at both the front and back provide breathtaking views of the Virginia countryside and vineyards. There are plenty of seating options, ranging from casual picnic tables and large wooden chairs to full-service tables. Umbrellas offer shade, and bistro lights add a charming glow in the evenings. There are also fire pits available for a cozy experience.
**Wine:** EMV has an impressive selection of reds, whites, sparkling wines, and rosés, with over 15 varieties of their own as well as selections from other Virginia vineyards. Flights are available, allowing guests to sample different wines in generous 2oz pours, which make the tastings delightful. We tried two flights during our visit and enjoyed every one, as well as an additional glass of a different variety. The pricing for the quality and portion sizes is quite reasonable. While we had our preferences, we found all eight wines in the flights to be exceptional.
**Service:** We enjoyed a light lunch along with our wine tasting on the outdoor patio. Our server was friendly, attentive, and delightful. We found the indoor service to be just as impressive, matching our previous experiences at the tasting counter.
**Food:** Our server mentioned that the chef hails from the Inn at Little Washington, which explains the remarkable quality of the menu. Most ingredients are sourced locally and reflect seasonal flavors. Although the menu is somewhat limited, it’s creative, tasty, and fresh. We began with a cranberry-ginger chèvre served with fresh bread that was simply divine. The pork belly small plate and risotto were absolute standouts, and our wine selections paired beautifully with the food. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality, attention to flavor, and presentation make it worthwhile.
**Ambiance:** The interior is cozy and inviting, especially during the winter months with a fireplace at the center, creating a warm atmosphere for guests. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and cannot wait to return."
