"we weren't back in a past, but we were so glad we did. crates led us through the lunch menu and we landed on the burrata and fried artichoke to start. is delicious an understatement. our cocktails were also delicious. blut orange martini and barrel aged old granddad manhattan. we had a few before we proceed with the bacon cheese burger and hanger steak wedge. both were satisfied and filled, but we had space for the molten buttercake. it was amazing! Tom helped us to finish our lunch with a cappuccino and a black martini, we recommend it very much. crates and tom were very well informed about the menu and made the afternoon special!"

"Was disappointed with the chicken Parm. It was the tiniest little side pasta ever. For $24 you can go to almost any Italian restaurant and get much more for your money. The atmosphere outside was very nice. Drinks are expensive as well, $15. Bettola’s chicken parm actually tasted much better or other local restaurants give you much more for your money. "During a weekend trip and our first time in Kansas, my partner and I chose Merchants, due to a recommendation from our friends, as dinner for a romantic outing on our last night before traveling back home. Our waiter, Jonathan, was an absolute pleasure to have. We were enthralled by his knowledge on the history of the building, the restaurant itself, and where the food comes from. His personable spirit and extra attentiveness is what truly made our dinner a 5-star experience along with the food which was to die for, and the large selection of craft drinks. We will return to try more of the menu if we ever find ourselves back in the area!"

"Decor and staff were excellent. Weakest aspect of the dinner was the food. Rolls and butter (complimentary) were delicious. The French onion soup had no broth/liquid. It was just chunks of cooked onions surrounded by croutons. Could have eaten the soup with a fork. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly although very red in the center. Flavor was good. The baked potato was fully cooked but not hot. Everything served to me seemed to be a re heated left over. Nothing freshly made or hot."

"We made reservations for an anniversary dinner. Ruth's Chris doesn't disappoint. Food was great, service was awesome and the ambiance was nice. This was a first visit to this location on LaCantera Parkway. Downside was my vehicle being broke into and ruining the rest of our evening plans. Signs said surveyed by camera - no necessarily true. The buildings are surveyed. Of course, not really the fault of Ruth's Chris but waiting an hour to report it since we live just outside SA was definitely a downer. Next time - UBER for sure."

"I had the worst burger I've ever eaten at this restaurant! It was seriously undercooked, even though I specifically ordered it medium. They slathered on way too much sauce, turning it into an inedible mess. I called to report my experience, and the female manager on duty did apologize, which I appreciated. However, her solution was to offer me a $10 gift card to compensate for the $25 I wasted. It's a shame because I remember this place being really good in the past, so maybe they've changed their kitchen staff? Regardless, I won't be returning."

"We love the Mill for dinner and dine here often. This was our first try at brunch and will also be our last I'm afraid. It seemed that our waiter was overwhelmed and there were periods of minutes at a time when we didn't see him. For The Mill staff you need to think about the dining experience. It's not just about getting the things I ordered to the table in a timely fashion. Example: We ordered small plates and drinks..intending that we would enjoy them together. The manager delivered our small plates, but our drinks were still sitting at the end of the bar because ourwaiter was nowhere to be seen. We waited minutes and then asked the bartender if we could have the drinks he delivered them, but seemed a little miffed. The waiter should have been on top of this. I understand no one is perfect, but when he returned he blamed another table for the delay. Not good customer service apologize profusely and move on. Made me wonder if he was blaming me for slow service at another table. The manager should be more aware whenever staff has an encounter with a table they have the opportunity to make things perfect. He delivered the apps and left without asking if there was anything more I write these things because it matters and I wish to make The Mill even better. The service bump was a first for us at this restaurant and don't want to give the impression that The Mill is known for bad service, normally (dinner) is great."

"Normanside has small plates at a very reasonable price. Between the four of us, we were able to sample many appetizers. There was not one thing any of us didn't like! Everything was absolutely delicious! Their burgers are the best, not to mention there are unique things like cauliflower meatballs (yum! . I'm almost afraid to tell people because I plan on going back a lot and I want to be able to get a seat. : This is Delmar's best kept secret, and I am so happy to have experienced dining here. The service was prompt, pleasant and professional. The food was amazing, and the dining room was very tasteful and pretty and clean."

"The Pork Belly Lollipops are a perfect 5/5— they truly melt in your mouth! The Salmon Gow deserves a 4/5, though I wish the flour wrapper could be a bit thinner. The Vaca Frita Tacos are a delightful 5/5— simply delicious! The "Release the Quack" dish earns a remarkable 6/5; it’s the best duck we've ever had! The Three French Hens are bursting with flavor, earning a 5/5 as well. And for dessert, "To Peach Their Own" is an impressive 5/5 for its uniqueness. Brunch offerings like the chicken and grits were also delicious. Jadzia, our server, was always friendly and answered all our questions with great patience. Her knowledge of the menu is commendable—high marks for that! Just a note: there is a $10 deposit per guest for reservations in case of no-shows, which we find to be fair and not a problem at all. We can’t wait to return and try everything on the menu! We will certainly start every meal with the pork lollipops because they are that good!"

"Even if you don't like fish, this is the place to go! The namesake redfish grill dish is perhaps the best fish I've had ever. The atmosphere is fun, and our waiter Jeff was amazing. It is very helpful and friendly and loads of fun with lots of laughter. I absolutely have to recommend the barbecue oyster appetizer! It was such a unique and flavorful dish, and definitely something worth trying. The red fish and grill dish is perhaps the best fish, and is more like a steak! Iwould highly recommend this as a go-to anytime Their homemade soft serve ice cream with pralines sundae is also very decadent and luscious! Again something very worthwhile even by itself."

"It was a weekday early dinner. Only my husband and I went to celebrate my birthday. We were the only ones in the restaurant as it was still early. After ordering, another customer came by. We ordered two appetizers. The shrimp tempura was excellent. The black cod taco was just ok. I couldn’t tell if it’s black cod. The tortilla was a bit thick. For our entrees, my husband had NY steak and a side order of shishito peppers. I had grilled salmon with mushrooms and broccolini. And also ordered the beef yakisoba. My husband liked his steak. Grilled salmon was well prepared. But the yakisoba was a bit sweet. But the waiter offered to have it redone which we appreciated. My husband ordered Pinot and was happy. Service was impeccable. He was attentive courteous well mannered. It was a wonderful experience. My complimentary panna cota was delectable. Price was reasonable. And ambiance was warm and cozy. We will be back. In spite of the pouring rain, we enjoyed our night out!"

"My husband and I went this past Thursday, had a wonderful time. We sat on the porch on a beautiful day. I wanted to try the Dutchess plate but I couldn't share with my husband, it was just under but more food than I could eat. "For the starter, we ordered the duck poutine, which was ample for the four adults in our party. Our 1-year-old granddaughter even managed to eat at least half of the plate - she couldn't get enough of it! For my main course, I had the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries. The dish was delicious, and the sweet potato fries were incredibly crispy. We had hoped to sit in the cellar, but were informed that it was only open on weekends. Our waiter was fantastic, although I regret that I can't recall his name. I am looking forward to our next visit."
