"We were staying at the Holiday Inn nearby. My wife ordered Thai food from a restaurant on the same street and had me walk down the hill to pick it up for her. I wasn't in the mood for Thai and decided to pick something up from Bamboo. I was glad I did. I walked in and looked at their lunch menu. I ordered a combination lunch special... Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, and white rice. I could have had chow mein or fried rice instead of white rice. Based on how great the food tasted, I regret not getting it with chow mein, . The lunch special even came with and egg roll and soup (egg drop soup or hot sour soup). Unlike back home, they even gave the soup when getting take out. This was a nice surprise. I chose the hot sour soup. I had no complaints about any of my choices. All were delicious. The Kung Pao looked a little different than I am used to, it was tender sliced chicken and I am used to chucks or cubes of chicken. It had a very good sauce and I like it a lot. The Orange chicken was wonderful. It also looks a bit different than I am used to as the sauce was a little dark and it had thin slices of orange peel nested in the sauce. None the less, it was great., maybe the best I ever had. The egg roll was still crisp when I got it back to the room. And the soup was pretty good. A nice touch was a big wedge of orange in the container. They gave me two fortune cookies and two sets of plastic wear. An added bonus, I was served tea while waiting for my order. The place is small and not a fancy place, but the tea gave this place a touch of class. The price was very reasonable too. In short... I was very happy I went to Bamboo. If I had another day in San Francisco, I would have probably gotten food from here again. But would have tried the chow mein with the lunch special. The walk back up the hill was the only thing I didn't enjoy about this excursion. I am old, out of shape, and not built for hills."

"I’ve always loved sakura cafe’s food, especially their sushi rolls (the crunch and Alaska rolls are my favorite and their lo mein is amazing too)Today I tried their House classic poke bowl and added mango to it and it did not disappoint! They gave a generous amount of sushi (a lot of places don’t put that much in poke bowls) and perfect portions for everything else except I wish there was just a little more rice than salad on the bottom. I’ll definitely be getting this again when I need to get my poke bowl fix in!"

"It’s me and my daughter’s first time in this restaurant. The fire sushi was her favorite part and also our favorite roll. We saw a video on google review and asked our server about it. presentation and the food was good. So far everything was good including service. Our Server was very polite and friendly. "Just ordered delivery last night and WOW was I impressed. My wife and I had a late lunch while shopping all day so after we got home we wanted a little something to share. My wife remembered recieving a menu in our door a couple days prior and wanted to try it. She ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and cheese steak egg rolls. I recently just had my first steak and cheese egg roll about 4 months ago and I've been hooked ever since so eveytime we order Chinese I get an order. At first I thought they were a little expensive at $6.95 but when I got them they were 2 huge egg rolls and the BEST cheese steak egg rolls I've ever had!! And for the steak and shrimp hibachi ... WOW it was great! Everytime we go out to hibachi my wife drenches it with their yum yum sauce but she didn't even use it on Sakura cafes hivachi. It wasn't needed. It was the best fried rice I've ever eaten and the steak was tender and shrimp cooked perfect. Also to a great surprise they threw in some free orange chicken with lomein and shrimp tempura she packed for my lunch for Today and I can say I can't wait to eat my lunch! We will be ordering again, and highly recommend it!"

"Best hibachi in the area if you ask me, a self-proclaimed foodie. It?s always a quick wait if not being seated as soon as you walk on, the appetizers are amazing (recommend the monkey ball , the drinks, soup and salad comes out immediately and the cooksalways put on a great performance and get the customers involved. We always end up making friends with the people who sit nextto us because everyone feels welcomed. Also, don?t forget to get the fried ice cream before you leave ;"

"4.3 stars: Maki Maki is my go to spot for consistently solid sushi in New City. It’s much more affordable than other sushi spots like Kumo, yet still fresh and good. It’s definitely not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but for the price and consistency, it’s great! At this time, they’re still takeout only, but I used to like dining in as well— it’s a small space but service was always friendly. We ordered takeout recently through UberEats and the food was well packaged and pickup was easy. We got the following items: Salmon Dinner: I’m a big fan of salmon, so I liked this. You get fresh and large pieces of salmon in every form. Seaweed Salad: Always love a good seaweed salad and this one tasted fresh and flavorful. Tuna Tartar: A little too mushy in textures, but good flavors, slightly sweet, and tasty. Maki Trio: This is a great deal— 3 rolls for $18.95. We got the Spicy Yellowfin Crunch, Black Pepper Tuna Avocado, and White Tuna Avocado Rolls. All 3 were solid and fresh with a good ratio of rice and inside contents. They were wrapped a little too loosely, though. Tofu Teriyaki Dinner Box: Tofu was really well fried and had a lot of flavor and nice crispy texture. The other items were a nice addition too. Veggie Fried Rice: Pretty good and standard. The order also came with 3 miso soups and salads with ginger dressing. In the past, I’ve also ordered Hibachi noodles, ramen, and udon noodles all of which were mediocre not that good. I’d definitely stick with the sushi here, which has always been consistently good for me!"

"My fiancé and I, as well as friends and family, go to Akashi all the time and have been doing so for years! They always have great sushi, and I love their sashimi; the best part is their rolls are BOGO! There was only 1 time in the 20+ times I've went that I ordered scallop sashimi (hotategai), and it was not very fresh, unfortunately but I'll still give them 5 stars because no one can be perfect 100% of the time. I also would never get a fried roll again, anywhere for that matter as we got the deep ocean, and it was rather bland. However, that's my fault for choosing something I already knew I likely wouldn't care for (it just sounded so good on the menu), lol. At any rate, this really is one of the best Sushi Restaurants in Raleigh/ Durham/ RTP if you're looking for amazing food while not breaking the bank like if you were to go to M Sushi in Durham, or even Waraji in Ralegh (no bogo and you'll spend $160-$250 on a date night for 2).. I've been to both of them several times, and M Sushi, for the cost, is the best sushi/ sashimi you will ever put in your mouth on the planet! They literally fly their food in on a daily basis from Japan and New Zealand. I will also note that I've been to 30-40 different Sushi restaurants in the Raleigh/ Durham/ RTP area so please rest assured, I am a sushi die hard and have even traveled extensively across the nation and even internationally eating sushi so you can count on me for a good, truthful review. Here's a couple pictures of our take-out last night, which does not do the dine-in presentation justice, but it was still delicious!!!"

"we (my important other i) may come here just a 2-3 per year, but we always seem to enjoy the eating here. to be honest, we order in the rule only from the sushi page of the menu, but all so often we order from the other options that they usually have nothing bad to say about the art and wise how to eat. the only negatiw that is not a real negative is the prices we sushi eat quite often in front of a southern city location seems to stack here really fast? but again this is not really a big negatiw, just something you have to keep in mind when ordering"

"We ordered chicken hibachi, expecting a healthy meal with plenty of vegetables, just like you'd get when dining in. They confirmed our order twice, but instead, we received two chicken fried rice dishes with no vegetables at all—not even peas. The food lacked any garlic or soy flavor and was simply a large container of overly buttery rice and chicken. It tasted bland, like something you’d make for a child—just butter. We called and spoke to the manager, who said they made a mistake with the order but insisted that we got what we paid for and there was nothing he could do. There was no effort to fix the situation or address the issue with the food. Additionally, they added a gratuity for takeout without informing us, which meant we paid extra for the incorrect order that no one even requested."
