"Okay so I want to preface this by APOLOGIZING to Sadie by not leaving my review last night because I was just a little tipsy LOL but I'm keeping my word!!This is my favorite pub, not just because it's like 5 minutes from my house but because our first experience kept us coming back and the staff is literally so nice and we love the vibes here so much. Our first time here was about a year ago and our cat had to go to the emergency vet, we came in at like 1am after crying in the emergency vet and just needing to eat something and it was the only place open near our house. When we came in, we were still friendly but I think the staff could see we were super sad and they were SO sweet and nice and that just really made us feel really good and it's like our regular spot. SADIE IS MY FAVORITE <3 girl I literally love u. I come in probably 4 times a month and she's got my table at least 3 of those times. I've introduced her to my dad and everything haha! She is super sweet, so funny, ALWAYS on top of things as far as taking care of her tables and customers, and she's funny and all around just an amazing person. I'm so glad that I have somewhere to go where I feel comfortable with the staff (I am a nervous nelly). I just had surgery to get my tonsils out and they finally healed, the FIRST place I went was James Joyce to get those buffalo wings <3 they are THE BEST. So crispy and always perfect. SADIE thank you for always being the best, you are literally like a light floating around the pub!! Can't wait to see you in two weeks probably LOL"

"Not family friendly. We were there for over an hour and a half and my baby was done. The waitress, although very sweet, waited 20 minutes after taking our dirty plates to bring out our check. When his patience wore out, I was left holding a wild baby in a tantrum and a very wet diaper. When I asked about a changing table, the bartender and owner told me to change his diaper on the dirty bathroom floor. That’s a hard pass. My chiropractor says I have the back of a woman in her 60’s. Would you tell a woman in her 60’s to hunch over on the dirty floor to change a diaper? No? What about all those lovely farm animals people in the community raise? They all poop and you all walk in it. Plus any bathroom men use will have urine on the floor. Hunching over in the car hurts my back more. No, I did what any reasonable person would do in my situation. I found a corner, pulled 2 chairs together, threw a mat down, and took care of it on my knees, all while the owner glared at me without a word. No, the owners saved their words for Facebook. Blasted me with false information to be judged by a jury of my peers. How rude and cowardly.Maybe be more respectful of the limitations of young families and offer a changing station if you don’t like it. Thrift and consignment stores often have them reasonably priced.I have never been so disrespected in an establishment. They owe me a public apology."

"I would've given this place 4 maybe 5 stars if I was only reviewing the food as the burger and fries were delicious! Unfortunately, I cant say anything about the sweeter side.of.the menu as I ordered an oreo cookie milkshake for $6 plus tax that I never received.....I was extremely disappointed when we arrived home with our food from JJs Burgers and the milkshake had NOT been included. $6 for a milkshake I didn't even get to taste was upsetting but the quality burger helped improve my disappointed. What didn't help was that we ordered the food at the end of the night about 45 minutes before closing and by the time we got our food and drove home the joint was near cloing time so I called JJs immediately and of no one answered. I called back 5 or 6 times in a row but no one ever answered. The following afternoon, I called to inquire about what happened to my milkshake and get a refund (or better yet my milkshake! and when JJs staff answered I told them what had happened and instead of offering an apology, a refund or my milkshake! Instead, the grouchy man on the other end of the line, barked at me that he couldn't hear me, that there was too much noise and rudely hung up! I was parked in my car, by myself when I called JJs, the loud background noise was on their end not mine. I tried calling back once more and again no answer just like the night before. I felt scammed, does this happen to every last patron of the night because they know its almost closing and can get away with it or was this just a simple mistake and bad timing on my part? I'm not sure I'll ever know the answer to that as its very unlikely I will return anytime soon if ever. Great customer service is almost as important as great food but if I had to choose one over the other the food would always win but the poor service has left such a bad taste in my mouth that Im.not sure the food is worth it! Whats sad is the place used to be called Henry's burgers years ago and it was one of our favorite little burger joints so when I saw it had been reopened under a new name and owner I had high hopes it would be just as good......"
