"We pulled up to The People 's Kitchen and were informed by the vallet that he could not park our car because, The cops are watching me. So we parked in a private lot. It was a weird start to a weird night at The People 's Kitchen. Then we entered the restaurant and were told by the hostess that the kitchen had closed due to a technical glitch. We were informed that we could still order cheese ...was that the good news? or we could go eat at Mezcal up the street. We decided to just stay for one drink. After having our cocktail, I had to flag down our invisible waitstaff twice to pay for our drinks. At one point, I place my wallet directly on the table and hoped that I could pay for our bill via wallet osmosis. The cocktails were good. Now, normally I don 't expect special treatment while I 'm out to eat. But if you 've booked reservations at a restaurant, and the kitchen is closed unexpectedly, wouldn 't you offer some of that amazing cheese to your customers? So, in closing, in our most recent visit to The People 's Kitchen, we could not park our car, eat, or pay for our bill, all in a restaurant that was not surprisingly quite empty for a Friday night. The best part of the story is that my date didn 't want to go there in the first place because she 's had similarly odd experiences each time she 's gone there. Thanks to The People 's Kitchen for proving her right. Again."

"It was a dreary Monday, and after a long day of flight delays coming in from Connecticut, I was both tired and hungry. The nearest option to my hotel was Sip Savor, located within the hotel itself. While hotel dining often gets a bad reputation, I was assured that the food here was worth trying. After receiving a few recommendations, I headed downstairs to see what they had to offer. **Atmosphere/Appearance:** The ambiance is what you'd expect from a hotel bar. There’s a large bar rail that wraps around, allowing seating on three sides, which provides plenty of options for patrons. Behind the bar seats are tables suitable for groups, making it a comfortable place to relax. It was relatively quiet during my visit, though I could imagine it becoming quite lively with a large work group present. **Service:** Kelly, our server, took excellent care of me. Although she was the only one working and seemed busy, she managed to check on all the guests and engage in conversations. Her friendliness and honesty regarding the menu were commendable. **Food:** I started with the Grilled Shrimp Tacos, which come with three tacos, a grilled lime, and some verde salsa on the side. These were fantastic! The blend of cilantro-lime crema, crunchy cabbage, and subtle shrimp flavor was perfect. For my main course, I chose the BBQ Bacon Jack Burger, which is topped with Monterey Jack cheese, caramelized onions, bacon, and BBQ sauce, accompanied by lettuce, tomato, and a pickle spear. The burger was indeed very tasty, but I had requested it cooked medium, and it arrived well-done. This indicated a possible issue in the kitchen. A fellow customer mentioned it was the third time that had happened that evening, signaling a need for improvement. Kelly kindly offered to recook the burger, but I didn’t want to waste food or prolong my meal, so I made the best of my overcooked burger. **Value:** The tacos were priced at $12.50 and the burger at $14.00, which is quite reasonable for hotel dining. Typically, hotel food leans towards the pricey side, but here, I felt the prices were fair and offered good value. **Conclusion:** Overall, I would rate Sip Savor about 3.6 stars, but in a spirit of positivity, I'll round it up to 4. If I return and face the same overcooked burger issue, I will send it back to ensure I receive what I paid for. Thank you for reading my review!
