"We returned to the main bar and asked a waitress if we could sit at a booth she had just finished cleaning. She agreed and said she would check with the manager once I explained our situation. The manager soon came over, apologized for the mix-up, and even gave us some merchandise as compensation. We appreciated the way they handled things, and we enjoyed the food and drinks we ordered.
We had a great time at the arcade and considered returning to the speakeasy, as it was quieter at that point. The bartender appeared more relaxed since there were fewer patrons than earlier in the evening. I felt she could have used another bartender to help with drink service. Notably, one of the reserved seating areas was unoccupied even though a nameplate was still there, so my friend and I decided to hang out there until someone arrived—though no one ever did.
I think G Pub would greatly benefit from a more effective reservation system to indicate which areas are available, as well as better communication regarding cancellations due to capacity issues. Aside from the reservation hiccup, every bartender, waitress, and staff member we encountered was wonderful. The food and drinks were fantastic—I'd highly recommend the spinach artichoke dip and the dill pickle burger.
Overall, it was a fun night, and I'll definitely be recommending this place to friends in the future."
