To start, I ordered the classic Vietnamese spring rolls, Goi Cuon. The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every bite. The rice paper wrapped around tender shrimp, rice vermicelli, fresh herbs, and crunchy vegetables offered a delightful mix of textures. Dipping them into the accompanying hoisin peanut sauce added an explosion of flavors that left me wanting more.
For the main course, I chose Pho, Vietnam's iconic noodle soup. The enticing aroma wafting from my bowl was heavenly, and the broth was exactly what I had hoped for: rich, fragrant, and deeply satisfying. I couldn't resist adding fresh bean sprouts, lime, basil, and jalapeños from the side plate, which elevated the flavors even more.
To accompany my meal, I ordered a traditional Vietnamese iced coffee, Ca Phe Sua Da. The smooth, strong coffee mixed with sweetened condensed milk and ice created a refreshing and energizing drink. It was the perfect way to balance the bold flavors of my meal."
