"I absolutely loved everything on the menu at this restaurant! The service was fantastic and our server gave us great recommendations. The beef jerky was surprisingly juicy and delicious. We tried two different tacos - the ahi tuna poke and steak, both in small portions of three, perfect for a few bites of each. We also had the fried beef wontons, which were also amazing. The food was full of flavor and the cocktail menu looked great (I definitely need to go back to try it out). They also had a good selection of craft beers. I took a peek at the brunch menu and I can't wait to come back to town and try it out."

"First time here and I got three different rolls the most notable role I got was the Godzilla roll if you're going to go to this place and get that roll make sure you eat that one last because after you eat it you're really not going to have the other ones compare it was that damn good clean place friendly staff very helpful in making decisions I would recommend"

"Came on a Sunday evening at 6 for the hibachi grill and it wasn’t busy at all which worked out well for us since we have two young kids. The atmosphere is nice and the decor is tastefully decorated. Our waiter was super friendly helpful and the food was delicious! Would definitely come back again."

"Yesterday was the first and last time I will ever step foot in this restaurant. Walked in at 2:56 order drinks and appetizers which came out fast but once sushi rolls were ordered it went down hill. We waited and waited for the food to show only to be told it’s almost ready at 3:44. Right after this two tables that came in well after us was brought their food which was sushi rolls. I finally had enough and looked at our server and said we’d like to cancel the sushi and pay so we could leave. We walked out at 3:55 without an apology or any manager speaking to us. This place is a complete joke! There is no way sushi rolls take over an hour to make!"

"Sushi was great. I have to give a shoutout to the salmon sashimi, was very delicious today so was the eel, you can tell a lot about a sushi restaurant by the freshness of the eel. Shrimp tempura was on point also. Not a fan of the ginger dressing. Waitress was attentive even though it was slow (Usually when it's slow they are nowhere to found being bored somewhere). I came in taking my cat to the vet. I will come again."

"We decided to try Miso Japan recently instead of going to our usual Japanese place, and unfortunately I don’t think we’ll be back. I don’t know if this is how it always is, but the night we were there it smelled awful in the dining room like sewer water or something. My husband got the orange chicken—it just didn’t have much flavor and was very salty. We both got the onion soup and it was good. I got a sushi roll. It was good, though on the menu it said it would have shrimp tempura, crab, and salmon, but when it came to the table there was no salmon to be found. Probably the biggest positive was that all the staff were friendly, but still, without a good food and dining experience it’s not enough to bring us back."

"Ordered my food today at 2:11. I got here at 2 :39 and my food is not ready. So I ask if I can order jalapeno poppers. She said it would be ten extra minutes so I changed my mind and payed for the food. 30 minutes was the estimate. Its 258 and my food just got started. As a fellow chef I can understand it gets difficult when miltiple orders are displayed. So 2 stars for good food but extra wait. I'm still waiting.. In my car. I walked in at 3 only to see nothing is done yet."

"Wow. What a pleasure it was to dine here. We?ve found that Tampa restaurants often ride the hype of their parent company or the social media buzz of their launch day but what a treat it was to stumble upon a hidden gem such as Sakana with little to no media presence and have the single best sushi/Asian style small plate meal we?ve easily had in the area. We had the edamame, miso soup, fried rice, pork dumplings, Philly roll, salmon tempura roll and tempora fried cheesecake. All were incredible. Our bartender Jennifer was equally amazing. The cleanliness, responsive staff, food quality, recommendations, plethora of options and more were more than enough reasons to dine here. Try it. And tell Jennifer you saw this review first."

"Wow were we pleasantly surprised! Sapporo has been in our neighborhood for four years and this was our first time in. We were looking for a happy hour on a Sunday and they've got Sunday happy hour ALL DAY. So the grandmas (who love happy hour) got margaritas and I had some sake. That margaritas alone would have gotten this place a thumbs up... and that's even before we had the sushi. I had NO idea all this time I could have basically taken a walk out my front door and found such fantastic sushi. The rainbow roll was incredible so so fresh and the Mongolian chicken was also delicious. The only downside of the whole experience was that it was noisy but if you're in a festive mood, it's not a problem..we will definitely go back."

"We have been ordering from Okinawa in Canton, GA for over 10 years. While we usually dine in, we have often placed to-go orders as well. Recently, we spent $103 on a meal but noticed that we didn't receive any vegetables or soup. When I called to address this issue, they claimed that we had requested no vegetables. I explained that I had actually ordered double fried rice, which essentially meant requesting extra food for which I was willing to pay, but we never declined the vegetables. The staff then informed me that they do not provide soup for to-go orders. When I mentioned that I had received soup with previous to-go orders, she insisted that I was mistaken and that they never include soup with to-go orders. It’s disheartening to feel dismissed after being such loyal customers for over a decade. I've truly enjoyed their food and would have liked to continue supporting them, but it seems I’ll have to take my business elsewhere. It’s unfortunate to discover that the customer isn’t always right. I am very disappointed."

"The food was incredibly disappointing! The rice reminded me of low-quality takeout Chinese fried rice, and everything was lacking in flavor. It was clear that the chef didn’t take much care in preparing the meal. To make matters worse, both my boyfriend and I ended up feeling quite ill afterward. We ordered sushi, and it wasn't even prepared according to the menu description. I should have taken the empty restaurant as a warning. This place doesn't hold a candle to Sagano. Save your money and go elsewhere!"

"I've been here a couple of times but this time it was a little disappointing. The braesola starter which I love really saved up on the mushrooms. And they were plain old mushrooms, not the fabulous wild mushrooms they had in the past. I was amazed. The pasta specifically was salty and dry. The fried calamari and prawns were very salty too. The quality of the food that goes into the meals is really top notch. In their defense, we went there right after the holiday weekend and maybe it was a little different. It won't stop us from coming back in the hope that it was an anomaly rather than the norm."

"I 'm a frequent customer to this establishment but today I will no longer patronize due to the young man they had working the register. When I called placed my order he kept trying to rush me off the phone which annoyed me. When I get there to pick up my order it 's incorrect. I told him I wanted a volcano roll with 2 side orders of the hibachi vegetables and he could put the 2 side orders of vegetables in the same container. Well I get there and they have my sushi roll but he rung my order up as if I wanted 2 of the hibachi vegetable meals. I told them that 's not what I told him over the phone and he insisted I did. I corrected him and told I specifically said the hibachi vegetables by itself. So he proceeds to take a deep breath and blows air as if I 've irritated him because he rang my order incorrectly. Then he just sits there and stares at me as if he wanted me to say that 's ok I 'll pay for it all NO! If he would 've told me my total like the lady I usually speak with we could 've fixed this problem beforehand. But his attitude was UNACCEPTABLE from the time I placed the order over the phone till when I got there! I hate to take my business elsewhere because their food is good but he made my experience very unpleasant!"

"You can't go wrong with this restaurant! Oh my goodness! It may not be Arigoto's, but it is definitely the next best option. The egg rolls are amazing (if not better, haha)! Their duck sauce is unlike any other, and the egg rolls could be a meal on their own. The YUM YUM sauce is delicious as well! Overall, the food is fantastic."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The haramuki and seafood soup were both delicious (just a heads up, the soup is enough for two!). The sushi was good, with the John’s Island roll being a standout. The restaurant is quite small and casual, lacking in fancy decor or ambiance. However, the service was excellent."
