"Officially the first Restaurant ever utilized to #supportlocal, and reprising their catering role several times since, it was on Thursday that Naked City Pizza once again put on a show with classics and novelties alike. The fifth time bringing Christopher and Michael Palmeri’s Pizza Shop off-site, visits to one of their four locations currently off-limits amidst COVID-19 restrictions, it was minutes prior to 11:30am that a pair of longtime employees arrived with nine items, easily enough Food for forty with plenty of leftovers. Not exactly a short distance to travel, yet presenting everything temperature appropriate with PPE to assure customer safety, it was not long before first-shift lunchers called dibs on Slices, Cup n’ Char Pepperoni predictably proving popular atop melted Mozzarella and housemade Sauce with plenty of Herbs, as did Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives famous Guinea Pie featuring White Garlic Sauce and Grandma Palmeri’s Meatballs. Changing up Sin City’s best Chicken Wings as part of family meals offered during the pandemic, here serving spicy bits of Meat amidst Macaroni, Cheddar, Mozzarella and Bacon, another heaping portion of Pasta arrived with tender Potato Dumplings in a bloomy Bleu Sauce restrained by Cream, Herbs and Breadcrumbs. Lightening the load with a big Salad and housemade Dressing, Naked City’s Ranch predictably becoming dipping Sauce for the Crust of many, fans of Cauliflower should not overlook Palmeri’s “fried” version that comes un-breaded and tender with great depth of flavor. Not about to skip Naked City’s “Back Home Pie,” the blend of Sauce and Cheese creating a unique texture complimented by housemade Sausage plus crispy Pepperoni, those seeking something sweet were happy to see Chocolate Cheesecake recently offered as part of the family meals, though personally the Hot Honey atop a Buffalo 22 Half Sheet was an equally enjoyable way to finish lunch with a bit of Sugar."
