"After a day at the Bernheim Forest we were hungry! My nephew, the local, recommended this place and I was down for Mexican food. It was okay. We were seated quickly outside (well, we just grabbed our table and told them we'd be sitting there). They were quick to bring plenty of chips and lots of salsa. However, the salsa could have easily been something just poured from a can. It was lacking........ everything. It was..... tomato sauce basically. But we were hungry so we ate it. I ordered a combination plate with a taco, enchilada, rice beans. My Mom had a taco, tamale, and enchilada, rice beans. My nephew had the chorizo chicken (something made up I'm sure, but he likes it). Everything was good (the rice could have used more seasoning)! The tamale had way too much masa or dough for those of you who are unfamiliar (this is coming from a tamale connoisseur; a family that makes tamales). The staff was attentive. My niece ordered a sopapilla. It was flat, not like we're used to. Ours are fluffy from puffing up in the grease. It also had sugar, cinnamon and whip cream on top then cut in fours. She liked it. Overall, the food is good. It also seems to be a popular spot as people were coming going the whole time we were eating."
