"I went to this Hunan restaurant with one of my usual groups though with a different host than usual. Hunan food tends to have a sour heat to it and the rather expansive menu here appears to also include some American Chinese dishes and some of the poor reviews are regarding them so perhaps go there for Hunan food. He hadn't been here in a while and this was one of the spots he hosted. We spent maybe around 30 or 35 bucks a person or something similar for a good amount of food.We started with the Scallion Pancakes. They were alright. Could have been a bit crispier but it was OK. We also had the Ox Tongue and Tripe with Spicy Peppery Sauce or more directly translated as husband and wife slices which is one of the cheekier Chinese dish names. The sauce had a good amount of mala and I liked the texture of the offal so I would recommend it. My favorite of the smaller dishes was the Green Pepper With Preserved Egg also known as smashed chilies with century egg. I personally like century eggs a lot and it went quite well with the crunchy pepper and I'm happy that this place unlike some of the newer fancy Hunan places doesn't expect people to mash them up together themselves (even if it is fun. One of the first main dishes that arrived was the Jumbo Shrimp With Spicy Garlic Sauce. This was one of the better main dishes with pretty tender tasty shrimp though the sauce could have been a bit more flavorful. Mao's Red Braised Pork Belly was a solid version. Nicely tender pork and properly cooked down though I had definitely preferred other versions more as though I did like that the pieces were on the smaller end which made it very easy to split it. The Sauteed Lamb With Red Pepper and Cilantro was also just alright. The lamb was a bit gummy though the sour sauce definitely helped with the off texture. The Beef With Pickled Cabbage was also pretty good. The chili sauce as with the other Hunan dishes had a good little sourness to it but yet again the protein wasn't the best. Of the dishes, the weakest ones were the vegetarian ones which was surprising based on the best appetizer. The Hunan Cauliflower was bland compared to many of the other Hunan or Sichuan spots lacking texture also. The Steamed Eggplant With Salted Egg Yolk was well terrible. It wasn't properly cooked with the mixture basically falling off of the eggplant leaning it to be a salty mess which was also just not well flavored.The Hunan food here was alright. Portion sizes were plenty big but there's definitely better places for Hunan food or food from similar regions in the city. Particularly good appetizers of all things but the main dishes needed work (especially the proteins which tasted cheap or poor quality in many cases. I do wish we got a preserved pork dish to compare also."

"I had dinner there with my family after receiving rave reviews of the restaurant. Our server was very nice, but marginally incompetent. He didn't know many details about the menu when asked for details. One of the starters was served without any of the 3 ingredients (olives with canned citrus and fried parsley - served without the fried parsley - not the waiter's fault). The waiter presented the special as an appetizer, but it was actually an appetizer. My main course (or should I say "starter") was served about 5 minutes after the rest of my table had already served their main courses. I was able to order another main course when it was clear that I had ordered an appetizer, but by then the rest of the table was done with the main course. The rest of the people at my table enjoyed the food and the beers were delicious, but overall my experience was not great."

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."

"1. Was seated outside of restaurant on a walkway/deck with small tables for two. Not in the restaurant but apparently an overflow zone. Was the only person sitting in this zone. 2. Lighting was extremely bright and waitress said people complained consistently but there was no effort to install dimmers by Managment 3. Waitress was attentive 4. The band playing below at Dukes was very loud and focused on R&R and Country. Could not even hear the ocean 5. Salad, appetizer and main dish arrived all at the same time 6. Food OK but not worth the cost. 7. No ambience at all 8. Perhaps if the table had been the restaurant it might have been a better experience"

"We were three adults with two (nicely dressed and well mannered) kids at 5 in the evening on a Sunday. The restaurant was 1/2 empty and the rude hostess shoved us at a tall bar table in between a service station and the kitchen door. After asking someone other than the hostess were moved to a regular table. The waitstaff was either overwhelmed or just terribly trained. Service took forever, orders were wrong, and the music was unnecessarily loud. BBQ brisket tasted like it was pounded with a mallet and soaked in liquid smoke. The one good thing I can say about this place is that the onion rings were incredible."

"As we were seated I. This full restaurant, I was quite surprised that the noise level was so low…and the service was on point! Our server, Dave was very attentive, professional and “connected” with my daughter, son-in-law and myself on a personal level. The meal was outstanding, but it was all of our observation, at the end, of the busier named Evona. This gentleman never let a glass of water be half empty, not an empty plate sit! The three of us are/have been business owners and recognize outstanding employees and especially those with the “team attitude”. Evona is an outstanding employee in our eyes!"

"the quality and the amount of foods that are expected to be delivered to the current trips have declined last year. not the upper level izakaya stands before the past. they cannot overload for sushi the size schned quality of a “AYCE”. long was my “Gate to” for business eating schnud personal family. recommended that they deliver to high quality product and keep inflated prices when they need. please don't ruin the great authentic environment and eat. prefer to bring a Japanese chef who refuses to admit overpriced ayce."

"My wife and I were here a few months ago and decided to return. This was our second visit since a flood devastated the building. We began with a pitcher of Sangria and ordered Chicken with mushrooms and Shrimp stuffed with crab meat. Both entrees were delicious. A salad was served with the meal. The dining room gets quite noisy, but it's worth the noise to enjoy truly outstanding food."

"I ordered from them for the first time last night and the chicken wings were pretty good. We also had the beef teriyaki and the spareribs which were both ok. The beef teriyaki was a little too chewy for my liking and the spareribs were fine, nothing to rave about. The shrimp fried rice were also good. The portions are big and enough to share for the whole.family unless your a greedy person lol and don't wanna share. You only get 4 chicken wings, I was a little disappointed because I wanted more. I love chicken wings. We didn't eat in but if and when we do, this review will be updated. CIAO for now."

"This used to be our favorite place to get Chinese food. We moved for a few years and just came back, and we were so excited to get a great dinner from here.I honestly cannot find a good thing to say about it other than the sweet and sour sauce was good. Their portions have shrunk (especially their rice), the chicken was undercooked and must have been sitting under some fish because the taste was WAY off. The egg rolls were second to store to bought, frozen egg rolls.Honestly, I would just assume pay more for the same quality food as before instead of them cutting corners with lower quality food. After eating here for so many years, I hate to just quit going but their excuses and indifference over our call to find missing food was enough. I hope they fix their issues, but we will be eating elsewhere."

"The food at this restaurant is excessively priced for the quality offered. My husband's soup portion was far from a proper serving. I ordered the seaweed salad, which was dry and lacked flavor, while the spring rolls were overly greasy and fell apart when the waiter delivered them. My husband ordered a drink, but it took so long to arrive that we eventually had to cancel the order because we had finished our meals. The sushi we received was cold, and considering we had ordered tempura, it should have been at least at room temperature. Overall, we were very disappointed and will not be returning."

"It was my sons 16th birthday and he’s autistic. They seated us in the center of a room when several booths were available. I got up and asked the hostess for a booth. She just said give me a few minutes. We never got a booth we even asked our waitress but they told her no since we had already ordered our food. My son was extremely upset so that started the bad dining experience. Then we ordered crème brûlée and what we got was soupy custard. $300 later and we were completely disappointed! Won’t be back"

"Great place to eat, it's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I always recommend people visiting Dana Point to visit this restaurant. Whenever I am there, breakfast, dinner, doesn't matter, it's always a chorizo omelet. They are always generous with cheese and use quality ingredients. Lately, I have been eating their delicious bacon-wrapped onion rings."

"I stumbled upon Ming Du by chance, and it turned out to be the best food-related accident I've ever had. My go-to Chinese restaurant in Dorchester is China Sky, which I’ve long considered the best in Boston. However, Ming Du has surpassed my expectations, and I never thought I’d say that. After a house fire forced me to stay in a hotel in Stoughton, we were in need of a good meal but were unfamiliar with the area. The closest option was Ming Du, so I decided to give it a try, and the experience was unforgettable. Their food is fresh, full of flavor, and served quickly. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. They even offer delicious cinnamon sugar donuts that go perfectly with vanilla ice cream—definitely a must-try! You won’t regret visiting Ming Du."

"Bad food. This is the worst tomato egg I ever had in my life- they don’t even care to cut the potato properly! The whole food is weird and no favor. And the price is unfairly high for just vegetable and really small rice. Will never come back again. I regret I have to pay for their food bc this doesn’t even worth $19. I left half because it just can’t be swallowed. As soon as I put down my bowl although there are half of the food left. They gave me the receipt immediately. I don’t like that."

"I have been coming here for over 20 years, as I own a time share at the Marriott. The food choices are not the same as Pre Covid. Fresh fish and shellfish should be abundant! The salt and pepper shrimp was bland. The gourmet style prep is not necessary, as I preferred the more casual menu . What happened to the macadamia nut crusted fish that was so good? The prices are ridiculous for the portions and there should be more choices. We also went down to breakfast at 10:15 am, and they close at 10. For a resort this size, should be open all day."

"I was visiting San Francisco for the first time with my two adult sons ages None of us had ever had Peking Duck, we really wanted to try it while we were in town and Chili House was recommended as a “small hole in the wall” with fantastic Peking Duck. Most restaurants require this dish to be ordered a day in advance, so I made reservations and put in our request. Chili House was FANTASTIC!! The inside of the restaurant was nothing to write home about, but certainly clean and we sat at a round table with one of those large “lazy Susans” in the middle. The service was efficient, very friendly and helpful in making our decision on whathow much to order. Every single thing we tried was delicious and the Peking Duck was out of this world this is coming from the person who was the least excited about the dish in general and has not really enjoyed any preparation of duck in the past!. We all give it stars!"

"Something has changed here either a new manager, chef or they stopped caring. I got takeout and it was pretty terrible. The only thing hot and fresh were the fried shrimp. The crab Rangoon’s and fried wontons were clearly reheated they were lukewarm at best and dark brown on the edges while seemingly slightly undercooked in the middle. The crab rangoons were runny. The wontons had zero flavor and were clearly bordering on stale. I am so disappointed. Been going here over a year and food was always so good. I will say the woman at the counter was very friendly and pleasant but unfortunately they’ve lost a customer!"
