"I had high hopes for this restaurant based on the photos I saw online, which featured tacos topped with pico de gallo and jalapeños. Unfortunately, my tacos arrived without any toppings at all. The refried beans were decent, but I was dismayed to find small bits of bacon or chorizo mixed in. As a vegan for the past four years, this was the first time I accidentally consumed meat, and I felt terrible when I realized what had happened. I felt misled, thinking I was enjoying a vegan meal, and it left me feeling betrayed by the staff's assurances.
My friend ordered chicken tacos, but after we paid, we were informed that they had run out of chicken. There was no apology from the staff, which was disappointing, especially since she doesn’t eat other types of meat and was left without any options. A simple acknowledgment of the mistake could have gone a long way.
The restaurant's ambiance was just okay, but it felt a bit unclean with fingerprints on the mirrors and crumbs on the tables. I ordered three small tacos, beans, and a drink for $15, while my partner was able to get a generous plate of pork tacos fully dressed for just $12, which included a side. It feels like they might be taking advantage of vegan customers. How is it that I paid more for a meager serving of tiny tacos with a few Brussels sprouts than what my partner got for a hearty meal of roasted pork?
I would recommend avoiding this location. While the eastern branch might be better, the western one clearly does not prioritize vegan customers and offers subpar food."
